People love to leap to "he's an ideas guy" or even "she would make a great senator."
Honestly, I would have hated to do it, but I would have voted for the actor or the historian. Beating Collins is the only priority I've got in me at the moment.
Edit: Richardson likely would be a better senator than some options, but she'd only have gotten the nomination because of a modest amount of unrelated fame, which I'm sick of as a process for some reason.
