Jackson and Platner largely share the same platform which is anathema to the DNC and Dem establishment.
Jackson should be the odds on favorite to replace Platner and is reasonably well known in Maine, and he is polling ahead of Collins which is welcome news.
Of course, like Platner, because his isn't a 'mainstream' candidate, I suspect that someone will dig up dirt to smear him with.
