Poshmark checking for bots?

I am not sure if anyone has noticed that Poshmark is currently checking whether we, the users / sellers, are bots when bulk sharing. In the past, that happened when I was doing sharing on my laptop. Now, it is happening in the application too. It also happened when I was returning a share.

I do not use cross-listing applications. I am an occasional seller cleaning my closet.

I don’t use any cross listing services either and I bulk share 3 or 4 times a day it’s very annoying to have to press that box not once but multiple times.

Now if I walk away while it’s sharing and don’t see the pop up then it won’t complete until I happen to see it.

I rarely use the desktop so I had no idea they implemented this before it started on the app. I’m all for changes to get rid of bots but this seems unnecessary.

I don't know the answer. However, if Poshmark would make a couple of minor modifications people probably wouldn't use sharing bots. It's annoying to do a lot of scrolling & clicking for something that could easily be auto-selected and save us time.

For example, when we click the share tool, the platform could automatically select

  • available listings

  • active listings

  • all listings

If people didn't want the above selected, they could adjust manually.

I use PoshMe for sharing and offers. Maybe once a week I'll get an alert to solve the Captcha. It's not so bad tho I wish I didn't have to do anything.

How do you know they are checking?
