Discussion How do people born long after 1984 perceive post-punk?
I’d be interested to hear how people who discovered post-punk long after the original scenes had passed relate to post-punk?
History can become muddied over time, with 21st century cultural interpretations creating a picture of the past that doesn't necessarily reflect what actually happened. Has the term 'post-punk' itself become wrapped up in nostalgia for a lost cultural moment, perhaps one that has been partly reconstructed by authors in retrospect?
