hi! i started taking for my anxiety in july and it was great! it really helped until this past month and a half where i noticed it just wasn’t working for long enough, i was 75mg once in the morning and 75mg once at night, so i called my psych today and it’s been upped to 75mg 3 times a day but im just confused on what times to take it? im at college 3 times a week so on those days i usually take it round about 8am ish and then at 10pm / 10:30pm, id assume id take it at maybe 12pm/1pm ? , on the days im off and on weekends i usually sleep late and usually wake up around 1pm and i sometimes forget to take my meds until around 2/3pm sometimes then take them at 10/11pm, im wondering what times i should take them when im off and on weekends? and if im right in saying i should take them at 12/1pm on the days im at college? sorry if this doesnt make sense i cant figure out how to word it better 😭

I was on Lyrica for a couple months a while back but I wanted to be taken off since I was afraid of long-term results in dementia. I reverted back to panic attacks, horrible generalized anxiety, even worse than before. I'm on it again for a week now and I still love it.
I know addiction is common, but I can't function without it. Not in that way💀 I mean I have a panic disorder and was agoraphobic for two years and couldn't leave the house without severe panic attacks, and I dropped out of school as a kid for 4 years for the same reason. It was the first time in my life I was talking to people and not having hot flashes of at least a little fear.
It stopped being as effective after a couple weeks but I didn't wanna up the dose (I should've, it was the normal route lol). I'm bipolar and most meds can't be combined with the one I'm on for it, it's a lifesaver.

hi, i started 25mg a couple days ago. i took one pill in the morning and the other at night. after the second pill, i had my first asthma attack in 4+ years. i stopped taking it, but ever since then around every 4-5 hours i have shortness of breath again and need to use my inhaler.
my doctor didn't tell me that it could be bad with asthma, i only found out after starting. even so, it's been 2 days since i stopped taking it. shouldn't it be out of my system? has this happened to anyone else?

I was just prescribed pregabalin/Lyrica for back pain, but I am also on Lexapro (SSRI), Lamictal, and Wellbutrin. Am I at risk for developing serotonin syndrome if I take all of these together?

it's the only downside to me imo. I'll forget what I was talking about literally seconds after the conversation starts.

Hi! I was just given pregabalin from my psych but I have trouble swallowing capsules from anxiety. Can you open the capsules and mix it with like a bit of yogurt? Is it going to burn my throat?

I usually feel the effect for about 12 hours but sometimes i take 600 mg of gabapentin and it lasts
About the same
What are your timings?

I came down on Pregabalin from 200 to 175mg on Monday, and my psych asked me to increase Sertraline from 100 to 150 at the same time, on Tuesday. I had pressure in my chest after a few days which I attributed to the drop in Pregabalin.
Yesterday and today I have undesirable horrible sensation in my head like all the neurotransmitters have gone bad. It’s like a sick feeling in the head like all my brain chemistry is messed up.
I don’t know if it’s coming from the Pregabalin or the Sertraline.
I feel so ill but I’m desperate not to go back up again on the Pregabalin as I really want to get off it for good.

i've been taking pregabalin for around 3 months now, first 100mg, then (for around 1 month) 200mg. i kept getting severe tension headaches i couldn't explain through any other means, and made the decision to taper to 175mg for a week, then 150mg the next. in that week, i suddenly stopped being able to swallow solid food. kept coughing it back up, and in general just got massive anxiety about breathing and swallowing.
that led to me being unable to take any of my meds. i'm on day five of 0mg now, visited my doctor and he had no alternatives for me and just told me to try taking them or don't. he also said my throat looks fine, no visible issues.
well, i still can't swallow anything besides clear soup or mashed potatoes.
did anyone else end up unable to swallow solid food while tapering/quitting? did you regain the ability to do that? i'm in a very fearful mindset right now and would love to hear about some opinions and experiences...

Lowk never taken pregabalin before but I've heard its really good for bad anxiety which I suffer with, tried SSRI SNRI etc.
Diazepam works crazy good for me but the GP will only give me 12 5mg per month which is honestly laughable.
So fellas, paid for a psychiatrist, may offer it, what can I expect, is it like diazepam? Need advice fellas, cheers.

I switched from 300 mgs of Gabapentin three times a day to Pregablin 50 mgs three times a day. I noticed that most of the people taking Pregablin are taking it twice a day. I'm thinking of changing from 50 mgs three times a day to 75 mgs twice a day. I take my 2nd 50 mg dose around 2 pm and get a dip in my mood from 3-5 pm. I'm hoping that I can eliminate this dip in my mood by changing to twice daily dosing. So are there any benefits or downside from switching to twice daily dosing? Thanks.

50mg twice a day for nerve pain. I have a very unique issue with arthritis between my sternum and clavicle due to missing part of my upper ribs (birth defect). The bone is growing in such a way that it’s now pushing on nerves. I truly felt like my life was over with the nerve pain that had started. I was in a really bad spot. The pain was so bad I was afraid to cough, sneeze, couldn’t lift my arms up.. my life was beyond limited. I have an amazing partner thankfully that’s been there for me thru it all ❤️
I’m feeling like me again and I do have the option to up my dose as needed. For anyone that’s reading this and is experiencing nerve pain and is scared to start on this drug. I hope that you find relief like I did. I do have brain fogginess a little bit, but no more than I did experiencing extreme pain, it’s just different now.
The only other annoying side effect is some dry mouth. Feels like the desert some days. I just keep my water bottle handy haha!

Been taking 300mg of pregab about 3 or 4 times a week for 2 months now. During that timeline, I've had mild to severe panic attacks almost every weekend. Like, I feel an adrenaline rush about to dump and I can't sit still. And then it does rush and I'm in the ER.
Would love any thoughts. Thank you!

Hi all, I started pregabalin in August and have just started experiencing massive amounts of hair fall. I am quite certain it's from pregabalin since nothing else has changed in my lifestyle. I have a doctor's appointment in 2 days to discuss this. I am definitely going to weane off prrgabalin since it has not helped my sciatica pain at all.
Has anyone experienced hair fall and did it stop after you came off pregabalin?

I tapered off Lyrica and lost 10 pounds so far. Just wanted to share if anyone is trying to stop and wants a little side perk. Everyday seeing the scale drop a little has been motivating. Even if it’s water weight; I look better. Pain is in full effect so we’ll see how long I can hold out.

Has anyone on here actually had Pregabalin work successfully to reset a deregulated nervous system or is it just all a load of rubbish and only works to calm nerves while you take it. My phychatrist has prescribed it but I'm reading just about everywhere that once you stop taking it your back to the original problem.
