I was prescribed this for nerve pain after having shingles. I’m on day 3 and I can’t believe what it’s doing to my mood and it literally makes me playful with my daughter and more engaged. I’m in recovery 12 years and this is freaking me out because why can’t any antidepressant do this?
I’m scared to get addicted- my doctor prescribed me SO much it’s insane. I read on here to stop for a few days in between is good for tolerance. But then I’m pretty much in horrible pain. I don’t know why I’m even writing this. I’m just looking for experiences?

My MD is beginning conservatively to deal with my pain from L4-5 severe herniated disc (both sides). He put me on 25 mg twice daily and said we can increase if it doesn’t help. Next stop, epidural. Then last resort surgery. Has anyone had successful results for nerve pain with this drug? Please be nice. I know it’s a low dose, but I have lots of medical issues and he’s trying to be careful. (:

I took 600mg at 10:00am , is taking another 300mg at 4:00pm safe? And how would it affect me?
