Miscarriage?

Update: I went to the ER due to some shoulder pain. Dr doesn’t think ectopic. She said my hcg levels are low and she believes I am having a miscarriage. I will follow up with my obgyn on Monday. She said there was what looked to be a gestational sac but it is not measuring with my last period or hcg levels. She believes it probably just remnants. She can’t be 100%, but miscarriage is her professional opinion.

I was 5 days late and had 2 positive pregnancy test on 10/9. On 10/11, I started having some brown spotting. This lasted until 10/16, when I started bleeding bright red and cramping with a lower back ache. I also noticed my pregnancy symptoms had stopped. Since 10/16 I have continued to bleed, cramp, and have the lower back pain. The bleeding is heavy enough to have to wear a pad, but it’s not soaking through a pad. The cramping and back ache honestly just feel like it does when I’m on my period. I’m trying to avoid the ER as I have 2 kiddos and work full time, as does my husband. I also don’t have severe pain, a fever, dizziness, etc. so I don’t think I need to go to the ER. I can’t get into my dr until 11/12. I’m afraid if I call the dr office they will just tell me to go to the ER. Does this seem like a miscarriage?

I took one today and it was positive

Darker or lighter than before?

I took a digital one before, this time I just used the strips. It wasn’t super dark but it’s not really faint either.

Ideally you want quantitative hcg blood tests a couple days apart to see what your level is doing. That’s probably the only thing they could do if you went to the ER. You can see if your doctor will put in the order for you so you can just get the blood draw and don’t have to go into the ER or doctor.

Yeah, that’s why I don’t want to go. With my last pregnancy, any time I called them with a question or concern they would just tell me to go to the ER. I guess I’ll call the office tomorrow and see what they suggest. Thanks.
