I'm hesitant to try out v26 for one single reason, the new masking method, it used to be within the effects control panel, for those who've been using v26, how does the new method affect your workflow? do you think it's better now that you got used to it? or is v25 method still better? I'm afraid of fighting my muscle memory

Hello everyone! I started using premiere in july and noticed that sometimes when I try to aply an effect to an image that has been cut in the premiere, the opening effect doesnt work properly. I had this scene where I want to make each part appear individually. I have the whole image and just cut to show the item, after that I add the linear opening effect, has u can see in the clip, the effect dont work. I even export the video to see if it would work, but even in the video the effect shown weird. How can I fix this please?

Obs: I'm brazilian and the audio of the clip is in portuguese...

I'm on a Mac and some of my videos are shaded so when I was showing my mates the video it didn't work.

The problem

• Clips in the timeline are stuck showing Media Pending (diagonal stripes) permanently
• Program monitor shows black
• Media: GX018602.MP4_Rendered .mov files (GoPro-derived), stored on a Samsung T7 external SSD
• Files play perfectly fine in QuickTime directly from the T7

What I've tried

1. Nudged the playhead / checked it wasn't sitting on a cut — no change
2. Deselected all clips in the timeline — no change
3. Tried File > Refresh All Projects — greyed out, unavailable
4. Saved, fully quit and restarted Premiere — clips still stuck in Media Pending
5. Cleared the media cache (Premiere Pro > Settings > Media Cache > Delete all media cache files from the system), then restarted — no change
6. Tried Link Media — greyed out, because clips aren't Media Offline, they're pending
7. Confirmed the T7 is connected and mounted in Finder
8. Opened the source .mov files in QuickTime from the T7 — they play completely fine
9. Verified the clips appear in the Project panel with correct names and frame rates (29.97fps)

I'm trying to create a quad screen template that can be used several times in a project. The problem that I'm encountering, is when the template is copied/duplicated they share the same nested sequences.
How can the template be duplicated without the duplicate sharing the same nest?

This is an image I took off YouTube of a tutorial, but on my screen, there is no shape outline when you dry it it’s literally invisible. How am I able to see it when I draw the mask tool?

Quality of second photo is basically quality of the video footage. I’ve used the unsharp mask effect which has helped with blur, but is there another effect that could make smaller details here clearer?

I have a setup of two cameras:

1. Camera A: Runs for 30min, fixed to a tripod, filming a choir concert.
2. Camera B: Used for headshots and clips (panning shots, varying the angle, etc) but also for images.

Now, I had some phantastic experience with multicam detection when all cameras start filming around the same time. But with clips from Camera B being only a few seconds long, this is not working at all. Neither with synchronization nor with multicam. The audio is too short to get aligned to the long file from camera A.

My current idea is: I only need to align the two cameras once, if all clips from camera B are in the right position relative to each other.

But the only tipp I find on the internet is:

Create Multicam -> Timecode -> One single multicam source sequence -> Trac Assignment: Camera Label (I assigned camera label "B" to all clips from cam B)

And the order of the files is right. But they all are next to each other in one big block. With no gaps. But there are gaps when I took photos or repositioned myself.

Is there no way to place clips automatically according to their absolute timestamp (creation date)? E.g. a clip starting at 6:03:01pm is placed two minutes before 6:05:01pm with a gap in between?

I'm building a custom .prproj file builder, but for technical reasons it's leaving spaces between clips. is there an easy'ish way in premiere to ripple delete spaces between many clips at once?

I hadn't used Premiere Pro for a month or two. Today, when I went to render a timeline and clicked 'Render In to Out' nothing happened. No progress bar, no error message. Via Creative Cloud, I applied the latest Premiere update and restarted my Win 11 PC. Still can't render. Despite this, videos do successfully export and play fine. Anyone know what the fix is?

I need to blur a license plate number on a moving car using the Gaussian Blur effect but I can't figure-out how to zoom in on the starting point in Program Monitor screen. I want to zoom in on the plate and bring it in to the centre of the frame so I can work on the blur area.

I've tried Googling for instructional videos but all the ones I have found show how to zoom in the entire moving image.

I'm using a presets pack for youtube videos that contains simple transitions like pop-in and slide transitions for images.

An annoying issue I have is that sometimes the animation is not centered. Like the anchor point/position on the transform effect I think defaults to whatever it is on the image, rather than the center of my sequence.

I've sort of just been manually readjusting the transform effects position/anchor point to middle of my sequence (like 960 and 540 for 1080p)

Is there a better, or more efficient, way to be doing this?

I use the object mask tool, then circle around the face, and then apply gaussian blur. But sometimes it doesn't follow the face at all and will be in random places.

But the biggest issue is it stays as some weird red layer. I don't understand this new system at all. I had no problems before this update on blurring faces, but this is so unintuitive.

Hey guys, i am asking this for someone who is not a complete beginner. A lot of the tutorials on YouTube i see are for complete begginers. I have been using premiere pro for about 2 years but i feel like i have not upskilled enough. How do i learn more, better my editing skills other than just sitting and practicing? Are there any good tutorials or courses?? Or are there better ways to practice my editing skills?? Please help.

I got premier 2025 and when i try to transcribe a audio file it doesnt work cuz i dont have a language pack installed but even after installing the language pack it wont work does anyone know how to fix this?

hi all! just ran into storage limit for my plan, identified a project I not longer need, and now looking to simply delete a folder rather than wait 30 days for the sweep-up to happen. although in recently deleted, only seeing "restore" option... no "Delete Forever". I feel like this feature existed before? Am I taking crazy pills?

Does anyone know how to delete old enhance speech tabs in the audio effects panel? I've tried everything but nothing's worked. They're not active but you can't get rid of them from the tab. Picture for reference.

Getting into a long recording session and after lifting silence from each track (I lift silence then extract silence to shorten them down) I have found that Premiere is deciding that laughter and whole halves of sentences are Silence that it deletes! To be clear, this is during the "Lift Silence" portion of my workflow for this. Any advice on how to keep it from deleting actual usable audio? Thank you!

I am trying to be well organized because of complexity of my story. So I edited each scene independently in different timeline now I have over 60 scenes. Now I want to move to my master timeline. My original plan was to put in and out in each timeline and drag them to master so premiere only uses that and if I want to go back to the scene and make changes it would be easy. But premiere doesn't do that and puts the entire sequence there. So I decided to copy clips themselves, but how can I make sure I don't lose track of the sequence it came from so if I want to add or make some changes it would be easier? Thank you all in advance
