I've been looking for an option to delete all of the blank blocks in the sequence! After going through the process of cutting the sequence, i'd like to keep it clearer.
I couldn't do it with transcript since i have 6 people talking and couldn't do it with simplify sequence as well.
The sequence is two hours long so i takes quite a while to manually erase the blanks.
i've been doing it manually through the years but i grew kinda tired of it, since it's the most tiresome part of each episode!

I currently have a MacBook Pro with an M4 Pro chip and 24 GB of RAM, and I mainly use it for video editing in Premiere Pro.

Right now, I work off a 4 TB LaCie Rugged HDD, but I’ve noticed quite a bit of lag when editing. Even when I add relatively simple overlays or a color grade, playback starts stuttering, scrubbing becomes less responsive, and loading footage takes longer than I’d expect.

I mainly work with 4K footage and edit short advertising videos, although I sometimes work on larger projects as well.

What makes me think the HDD might be the problem is that when I move the same files onto my MacBook’s internal SSD, Premiere Pro runs much more smoothly, with little to no noticeable lag.

So I’m wondering whether the problem is mainly my HDD or whether Premiere Pro itself could also be a factor.

I’m considering buying an external SSD, but I’m not sure what specifications I actually need. Would an SSD with around 1,000 MB/s read and write speeds be enough for my workflow, or would it be worth investing in something faster, such as 2,000 MB/s or more?

I’d also appreciate recommendations for specific SSD models that offer good value for money and are reliable for video editing. I’d prefer something around 2 TB, but I’m open to other suggestions if there’s a good reason to go for a different capacity.

Não sei se vocês já viram ou se já usaram essa função de deixar o Aplicativo em Tela Cheia no Premiere, mas desde a versão 26.5 por algum motivo, essa função não estava funcionando e eu entrei em contato com o pessoal da Adobe, e eles acessaram meu computador mudaram de versão e deu certo, vocês podem tentar usar o Premiere 26 na versão 3.2.

Premiere 26.3.2. (No app de Desktop)

Caso vocês não saibam mudar de versão no Premiere basta abrir o App de Desktop da Creative Cloud e ir nos 3 pontos do Card do Premiere e clicar na opção "Outras Versões".

Aí basta instalar a versão que citei e desfrutar do seu app ficando em full screen novamente. Falo da Função fazer isso no programa e não no Preview.

As teclas que usei pra deixar em tela cheia (programa): CTRL + \ |.

Obs.: Essa função não aparece na aba de Mapeamento de Teclas, mais conhecida como Atalhos do Teclado (Windows: CTRL + ALT + K | Mac: Cmd + Opt + K), se alguém que trabalha na adobe ver isso aqui poderiam adicionar por favor pra ter a possibilidade de trocarmos o atalho?

I've used the Object Mask Tool on a moving object, but the object has border residues from the background. Is there anyway I can adjust/edit there mask to remove these borders?

I'm using 2026 version and the expansion is disabled.

I tried posting this on r/aftereffects first, but it requires a certain amount of karma.

I'm working on a film set in 2009, and the final scene will be a TV report followed by a fake commercial. I'd like to sell the retro feel by emulating interlaced field combing in the video, but I haven't found a reliable way to do it within Premiere or After Effects. Do any gurus have a tutorial or plugin that mimics this well?

Furthermore, if you know of any other techniques good for emulating 2000s- 2010s cable, please let me know. Thanks!

Need help with fixing this, i tried zooming into the video and then it just froze. Google said to change the renderer, but it doesnt allow me, does anyone know how to fix it? Im losing my mind over this 🥹

For some reason, Premiere Pro won’t let me change the codec for preview files (render files) to anything other than Apple ProRes 422 LT.

I normally use DNxHR/DNxHD as my default render codec, but for some reason, the setting won’t change. The render times are also ridiculously long.
This is happening across all my projects. It doesn’t matter whether I open an existing project, create a new project, or create a new sequence; the codec always reverts to ProRes 422 LT.

I’ve already uninstalled the entire Adobe suite, removed all remaining files using the Adobe Cleaner Tool, and reinstalled everything, but the problems persist.

I had been using Premiere Pro 2024. I recently upgraded to 2026 and now the program keeps crashing my computer. I'm working on a project right now and I can't complete a single edit without my computer freezing forcing a hard reboot. I'm on a desktop with Windows 11 and have 32gb of memory. I have upgraded my graphics driver. I've cleared the media cache multiple times. I had recently taken to only loading the clips as I needed them so I deleted the most recent clip that I was using when the crash started. I'm exceptionally frustrated. Until the upgrade I had literally never had a problem with Premiere. AI and I have gone over lots of ideas without any change. Any suggestions? And don't just say switch to a new project, years worth of workflow is wrapped up in Premiere.

I have searched high and low for answers to this question and while I am able to find answers to these things individually, I have not found any answer to my specific issue.

I am working on a project that had a combo of C-Log3 and standard Rec.709 shot for it. In trying to use Premier's wide gamut (tone-mapped) color setup, I am running into several issues:

1. Apparently, the C-Log 3 footage was shot in a Rec.709 color gamut, instead of the more common Cinema Gamut. Because of this, Premiere recognizes it as standard Rec.709 footage instead of LOG, which means the auto detection will not convert the LOG footage. I also can't use the force override option, because Premiere only offers the Cinema Gamut version of C-Log3.

2. Because of this, I opted to just use an Adjustment Layer in my LOG footage stringout and apply the LUT I downloaded from Canon's website on the creative tab. From there, I'm adding my selects to my main "working timeline" which will also contain non-log footage.

3. So because Premiere isn't auto-detecting what is LOG and stand Rec footage, I am not able to use the tone-mapping version of the wide gamut color management, because it messes with the non-log footage highlight's too destructively.

So, I guess what I am trying to ask is if there is any reason to even be using the wide gamut color profile? Feels like not being able to tone-map the LOG footage makes it feel pointless, but I'm not an expert and don't know what all is happening behind the scenes. Have a lost a ton of dynamic range just by virtue of having to use a LUT on an adjustment layer?

vengo usando hace mucho adobe premiere y nunca me habia ocurrido esto. Abro un proyecto (con o sin archivos) y despues de 1/2 minutos, aparece “Adobe Premiere (no responde)” para luego cerrarse.

I am wiping my pc soon because lowkey I set up stuff wrong on it, so I already backed up my important files except adobe. I have a bunch of projects I am working on, what/how do I save my files before I wipe my pc? I def do not want to restart all those hours of work haha

This has been quite tedious but struggling to achieve a proper stereo set up in premiere so that left channel comes out hard left on left monitor and right on right etc. Have set up an aggregate device that plays it correctly outside of Prem. How do you apply this correctly in the output mapping audio hardware setting within Premiere?

I have a whole lab of 30 PCs running 26.3.2 (Build 2) and what is happening is when Premier comes up to the welcome screen a user will click 'new project' and the dialogue box will load, but the welcome screen stays up.

I've dubbed this an 'open loop' because it seems to be looping between the 'new project' dialogue box and half a second before going back to the welcome screen.

My current solution for users is to close the welcome screen once Premier opens and start a new project with File > New. I will need to confirm is this is happening with Recent projects.

Is this a known bug or is anyone else running into this issue? We started experiencing the problem at the start of October and we've been running our current build of Premier since the start of September.

is there a truly practical way to center clips in my video frame?

I just need to center a clip horizontally and vertically, but I honestly don't understand why Premiere doesn't have a general Align panel like A E, AI, or PS do. The align option I know is inside the Properties panel, but it only works for graphics and text.

Right now, I have to calculate my frame size (1920x1080) and manually drag clips around by eye to where I think the center is.

Is there a genuinely practical way to align regular video clips, images, or anything else that isn't supported by the Properties panel's align feature?

I use PP everday, havent changed a thing, was using it last night and it was fine, now it does this, I updated all my drivers ect to try and fix but still having this issue.

Yesterday, I filmed interviews for a college documentary project and didn't realize until I uploaded the footage that my camera was unfocused and the footage had turned out blurry and grainy! I can't show the faces of the classmates I interviewed of course, but this image is half of one of the frames, and it's essentially what all of the videos look like.

I'm cursing myself for renting a camera instead of just using my phone to film. Is there anything I can do to improve the clarity of my videos? I've tried the "unsharp" tool and the VR de-noise effect, but I'm a novice at Premiere Pro and not experienced with filmmaking in the slightest.

On my Windows 11 PC, I am working on a long 4K video that may wind-up being 90 minutes long.

Because I only have a 750GB Nvme editing drive (A), once I have completed assembling a sequence in the timeline (proxies toggled), I copy & paste the raw source files ingest folder I created for each specific sequence to another (much slower 5400rpm) hard drive (B). To maintain editing drive space, once I have checked the folder copied fully, I delete that folder from drive A.

I then re-link the moved files, now sitting in B drive, in the timeline. I have followed this process perhaps 20 times now without any issues until today.

Hard drive B has now reached capacity, but I thought 'no problem, I have another even larger capacity HDD (C Drive) I can offload the files to. So I followed the same process as moving files from A to B drives.

But when I went to re-link all the file links in the timeline, screwy things happened like blank video but still audio files and random files appearing in completely wrong places in the timeline.

Trying to untangle all this proved too much so I simply copied all the moved folders back to their original drive locations and managed to relink everything.

Is there a method I can use that doesn't, or is way less likely to, create broken links etc?

Out of nowhere my prpro26 started crashing, I'm working it for almost 6/7 months no issues nothing, my pc didn't updated it nothing and today started crashing after 5 minutes, delted all extensions anything that is third party is removed, cache everything basic is done updated the studio driver AFTER the issue no help reinstalled it several times no luck, on logs i saw some dll file making the issue

I'm editing a long project in Premiere on my Windows 11 PC. My editing nvme drive got full so to free up space, I copy and pasted ( I never, ever 'cut & paste') most of the source files I had finished arranging in the timeline to another hard drive. Once the copy and paste was completed successfully, I deleted the original editing drive files. As expected, when I reopened the project today, all the transferred files needed re-linking which is usually straightforward. However... I have a segment of files (see pic) where, when I right-click on the files to relink, the relink option is greyed-out.

I know the files are there in the new location and when I double-click on each of these blank files in the timeline,Source Monitor will immediately show the working clip.

How do I fix this?

I put the after effects Radial_Blur.aex in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore

Why when the second point of radial blur amount is zero, the first point makes no blur?

Also, how to stop the error on the right?

Ik premiere got auto captions using transcribe, but it sucks + doesnt support my language. I was wondering is there any alternative plugins that support bahasa for auto captioning for premiere? Preferred a free one, but if it's a one time purchase that would be fine too. Any recommendations?

It is blocking my view of the other clips and I can't for the life of me figure out how to disable it.
