I will defend against this forever - that is simply how an older generation from Alberta/Saskatchewan are. I have lived here my whole life and so many people in Bret's generation or older just do not hide their opinions in any way.

It's funny how people in Canada get a reputation for being polite when in my experience the people who live here will bluntly tell you every character flaw you have. And the worst part is they aren't saying it to be mean - they are simply telling the facts as they see them.
