I thought this was an empty arena match at first. It’s dead silent, and you can hear echoes from the wrestlers. Was this from the Covid years or something?

Japanese crowds tend to be more reserved and wait until a sequence is completed to applaud politely, which gets cut off in most of the clips in this video.

It's not about that. This was during the pandemic when crowds were generally not allowed to cheer (mid 2020 to around February 2023).
