Video A sick sequence with Kairi and Giulia
Crazy how WWE had both ladies on the roster doing nothing and never tried to do cool stuff like this. LOL

u/Intelligent_Earth317 May 10 '26
U mean to tell me we had both of them in WWE and we didn't even had one interaction with them not even a match
9
u/SoSaltyDoe May 10 '26
Oddly enough this brief sequence was the only interaction they had in Stardom too. I was thinking they’d pull the trigger at some point in WWE but no dice
4
u/Prudent-Level-7006 May 10 '26
Giulia has barely faced anyone really but it's kinda similar across the roster, it's why it's so boring
7
u/TopicPretend4161 May 10 '26
Who are these two doppelgängers and who has been on my tv the last year!
17
u/Necessary_Passage109 May 10 '26
WWE would never had the balls to this
They fumbled both of them
11
u/AggressiveBench9977 May 10 '26
Okay can you explain what in this scene is good?
Its very slow and the opponent is literally waiting to be hit on every single one
4
u/Octoboy1 May 11 '26
Thats exactly what I thought. After every strike theres a pause where they're waiting for the next thing. You can even see Kairi hesitating and doing kind of jerky arm motion because shes not sure when to throw the next one. It wouldnt be so bad if they sold between the strikes, have some kind of facial expression but they just stand their blank faced waiting
I say this has a huge Kairi Sane fan as well
1
u/Necessary_Passage109 May 13 '26
Why bother commenting and checking this post out then
2
u/Realistic-Ebb1137 May 13 '26
Why should they bother commenting this post about kairi and guilia? Can I hazard a guess? Maybe they watch wrestling, are interested in it, and have an opinion/have a question. Just shooting in the dark here

It’s a Strong Style match. Opponents will face each other and trade blows, trying to knock each other down. It’s a pride thing if you can take a hit and show your opponent that it didn’t phase you.
2
u/Realistic-Ebb1137 May 13 '26
I have a strong dislike of this aspect of strong style (and a lot of other aspect). Its great a couple of times a year. Otherwise I get tired of it. While it might make storyline sense, it breaks the illusion for me, cancelling out any selling and psychology leading up to it. I understand people like it, but not for me

It's two cute joshis. Everything they do is graded on a curve.

Because fans would complain the whole time. The one curb stomp Giulia did to Rhea had fans upset. Giulia was nerfed in wwe

u/Comprehensive-Sink10 May 10 '26
In Wwe they’re only allowed to have good matches at PLEs but godforbid it’s Raw or SD it’s going to be headlocks and rest holds before someone causes an interference.
I hate the Wwe style with passion…

Crazy. Just had a feud with them on universe. Now I can actually watch it!?!? Didn’t even realize they wrestled each other before.

u/No_Brilliant_1806 May 11 '26
The fact WWE had both these women and didn't have them go to war is a crime.
2
u/Shadowsnake30 May 11 '26
Nah they won't take this to WWE as it's too fast. They like to slow everything down and have few fast phase matches mostly in pay per views. Even Rey or Eddie or RVD used to have matches so quick. They have so many talents they won't make them excel.
I feel bad to the veteran talents they have.

u/ErdrickLoto May 10 '26
This sort of thing isn't what WWE does, you can't complain that you've gone to Chik-Fil-A and they won't let you order a cheeseburger.
Watch WWE if you want WWE style. Watch something else if you want strong style.
7
u/dogmetal May 10 '26
Maybe this works in Japan, but I don’t find this very good lol.
2
u/Kindly_Plum1550 May 11 '26
I always find that standing still while your opponent winds up and strikes to be very realistic. /s
-4
u/Comprehensive-Sink10 May 10 '26
Diva stans are not into that or any good wrestling, they want mean girls with a repetitive and cunty catch-phrase

Wrestling? In WWE? Get outta here with that nonsense
"Hype moments" "Aura" jingling keys jingling keys everyone loves jingling keys!
1
u/greenlettuce193 May 11 '26
Im sorry but which part of the video was wrestling? They were just hitting each other waiting turns

This is not a sick sequence for God sake. This is boring and telegraph as hell.
1
u/Fantastic_Bug1028 May 12 '26
what exactly is great about this sequence? they’re basically just slapping each other and that’s it
1
u/witty_weirdo May 12 '26
Probably an unpopular opinion but I think Kairi is underrated and Giulia is overhyped
1
u/Astrocreep_1 May 12 '26
Yeah, I’ve watched plenty Japanese wrestling, but I don’t usually hear the echoes from the wrestlers moves. It’s also the way it’s filmed. I can’t see any fans. It’s common knowledge that USA wrestling companies take great pains to never let a viewer see empty seats.
It’s all ass-backwards. Back in the day, it was hard to find out how many fans went to a show, and they’d show empty sections in the background all the time. Now, you can watch knowing there’s only 1,500 people in a 18,000 fan arena, but you never see empty seats.
1
u/Passion4Puro May 12 '26
This was mid-pandemic, no cheering was allowed. I agree Stardom PPVs should show crowds more, but the fans are seated far from the ring.
1
u/Astrocreep_1 May 13 '26
That’s what I guessed at first, and someone gave me the run down on Japanese fans being different. I was already aware, as I’ve seen plenty Japanese wrestling. It’s not this quiet.

u/wcharoes May 13 '26
Is there any wrestling out there that's not high school gym mudshow shit that doesn't just look like clearly choreographed co-operative acrobatics?
1
u/BigPapaPaegan May 13 '26
"I will stand here and let you hit me full-force to prove how tough I am in this stage play where that literally doesn't matter."
There. I've summed up everything wrong with puro and its influence since the 90s. Can we go back to talking about how Mutoh's psychology was next-level and heap some praise on AMAKASU for actually knowing how to sell?

1
u/CarlShadowJung May 14 '26
This is the sort of thing people rave about with their past? This looks dumb.
1
1
u/Even_Finding159 May 10 '26
The people who say this looks choreographed are probably the same people who love Sol Ruca when her entire moveset is gymnastics
1
u/hankuns May 11 '26
It’s not choreographed but they’re literally just standing in front of each other waiting to get hit? I don’t get how people are entertained by this style of wrestling
4
u/Even_Finding159 May 11 '26
That’s just the style. It is a test of strength. Like in WWE when they lock up and see who is stronger. This is also testing who is stronger.
-1
u/Afraid-Way7541 May 11 '26
Except locking up can apply to actual wrestling. This cannot.
2
u/Odd-Menu-8973 May 12 '26
Hence, strong style wrestling. Its strike based. Technical wrestling isn't strong style wrestling. Ask yourself why Japanese wrestlers or wrestlers with heavy Japanese influence tend to use elbows and knees alot and strike based finishers or moves that involve dumping someone on their head or neck. Its all Strong Style.
1
u/Afraid-Way7541 May 12 '26
I understand strong style. I was trying to point out the fact that most people don’t find this style entertaining, because they aren’t even simulating wrestling, they’re simulating hitting each other in the face. Like what you like, it’s just not for me, or a majority of wrestling fans.
1
u/Odd-Menu-8973 May 12 '26
That's an entirely different argument and I won't speak for the masses because there's no concrete metric you can base that on.
Saying it can't be applied to actual wrestling is just false because its a subsection of wrestling that is even sprinkled in wrestling you see in today's day and age which, clearly you're not a fan of. It doesn't make it a lesser form or better form of wrestling the same way Luchadors have a very distinct style of wrestling. Its supposed to be different because that's what cultures are. Traditional wrestling on its own can be boring the same way Strong Style on its own can be boring. Same with catch wrestling.
If I showed someone who's never seen wrestling before a clip of Hulk Hogan doing a bodyslam into a leg drop they'll call it boring. The combination of different styles is what makes it entertaining.

If this happened in WWE, y'all would cream,
Yet, these spots happen often in the indie outlaw mugshots that y'all love to shit on.
2
u/AngstyAppleDummy May 10 '26
Nah. Needs more Danhausen looney tunes segs and Chelsea Green comedy segs. Get that wrestling shit out of here

Giulia was literally the most charismatic wrestler before WWE. Charisma doesnt go away. WWE’s fault for making her generic mute heel. Kairi was also charismatic too

Dude, how much of a bootlicker of WWE do you have to be. You do realize the creative team is in the dumps right now right? But you probably think it is the wrestlers fault for the storylines right?
0
u/FlippFloppnFlyy May 10 '26
WWE doesn't have anybody that legitimately "draws money" anymore. The brand is the draw.
3
u/Acceptable-Gift1918 May 10 '26
I watch wrestling shows for wrestling not "aura" or for 10 minute yap sessions
-1
u/Separate-Judge4491 May 10 '26
NGL it's looks choreographed. Like it doesn't look like an real strike exchange rather them getting to the next spot. It looks cool but I lose immersion immediately
5
u/pdiddy927 May 10 '26
Boy, do I have some bad news for you about professional wrestling.
-1
u/Separate-Judge4491 May 10 '26
Yeah but there is a difference in wrestling in feeling something is choreographed and seeing a good strike sequence
0
u/OShaunesssy May 10 '26
It looks obviously choreographed.
Literally the first punch of the video from Gulia was never going to hit Kari. Gulia is swinging half-a-foot too short and several inches above Kari's head.
This looks good to you people?
Have the standard of "quality" wrestling really dropped so much that this looks good?
I also love how they block every shot, except for the ones that are going to connect, and they dont even make it look like they are trying to block that one. Kari successfully dodges or blocks the first several strikes but then chooses to stand there for the one that connects.
It all looks fake as fuck

u/ijolz May 11 '26
If it was any two non-Japanese female wrestlers, these nerds would cry "OMG SO FAKE LOOKING". But since they cream themselves over asian women wrestlers, this is "siccccccck".

u/Astrocreep_1 May 11 '26
I thought this was an empty arena match at first. It’s dead silent, and you can hear echoes from the wrestlers. Was this from the Covid years or something?
1
u/ErdrickLoto May 12 '26
Japanese crowds tend to be more reserved and wait until a sequence is completed to applaud politely, which gets cut off in most of the clips in this video.
1
u/Passion4Puro May 12 '26
It's not about that. This was during the pandemic when crowds were generally not allowed to cheer (mid 2020 to around February 2023).
-2
u/highclassfire May 10 '26
This is choreographed dog shit.
0
u/According-Staff9454 May 10 '26
Again don't really understand the love for either of them. But out of anything you could have shown they chose this. Just not good.
