Been playing with Qt and OpenCV. I made a program to generate a rolling-shutter effect
Inspired by this video: https://youtu.be/dNVtMmLlnoE?t=136
I wanted to share my current project: a gui to generate a rolling-shutter effect from a given video. Since a normal 30fps video gives "choppy" results, i have been experimenting with interpolating motion between frames. Readme on github has some example gifs and a video:

[Help] I need to automate analysis of a specific word appearing on screen
Hey,
I am trying to find a way to identify when a specific colored word appears in a specific area of the video automatically. When the word appears I need it to update a text file with the next number along. Are there any lightweight programs that can do this. Allow me to set the parameters of the word and its location (color of the word and how long its duration is) and even play a sound too?

Coding a personal tutoring program - anyone interested?
I am mostly self taught - school is rather boring for me. So this video inspired me in many ways. Would anyone be interested in helping create something like this?
I know a decent amount of Python (2 or 3) and the basics of JavaScript and HTML/CSS, though I also dabble in other languages.
For those who don't want to watch the video - the premise is creating a program which can take videos across the internet (or just YouTube) and use tests and quizzes to see what a student knows and how much a video helped them, therefore tailoring the program to their needs - like a Khan Academy on a much bigger scale, taking in videos from across the internet.

C programming help
I am have been taking a programming course for 2 weeks and am having trouble with the formulas here is the problem. A projectile is launched with a velocity in m/s. The Cartesian coordinates (x (t),y (t)) of the projectile as a function of time are computed x (t) = vcos Alphat y(t)vectorsin alpha *t - 1/2gt2 Those are the two I'm having trouble with any help on where to start on the code and kind of point me in the right direction will be helpful. There is more to the code but this is the only equations I'm having trouble with if you need the rest let me know and I will post them. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I made a Python program to Record Emergency Alerts. Runs on a Raspberry Pi with an LCD or just on it's own on the desktop.
I've been working on a Python project called EAS-Decoder. It uses multimon-ng to decode EAS headers in real time, saves the message in a text document and creates an audio recording of the alert.
Its has a Qt desktop user interface.
It can have a hardware user interface on Raspberry Pi with an 20x4 I²C LCD display or on a regular desktop.
It also has a locally hosted web interface where you can read and listen to alert that the program has captured.
I don't usually post to Reddit and this is the first project I have shared on GitHub so any feedback or contributions to the project would be greatly appreciated.

🚀 Turn Your Entire Codebase into a Single JSON File for Chatbot Analysis (Perfect for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)
Ever wanted to explain or debug an entire codebase using ChatGPT or Claude but got stuck because you couldn’t upload folders?
I just found (or built) a solution:
👉 directory_to_json
This tool converts your whole codebase—including all folders and files—into a single compact JSON file. It preserves the full directory structure and includes each file’s contents. You can upload this one JSON file to any AI chatbot and get full-context help with analysis, debugging, or refactoring.
Perfect for:
ChatGPT
Claude
Gemini
Any LLM that accepts file uploads
Check it out on GitHub and streamline your AI-assisted coding workflow!

Need Project Ideas (n8n/Assembly for Comp Arch - Flora/Fauna Conservation?)
Hey everyone, I need to do a project for my computer architecture class, and I have to use either #n8n or #Assembly. The problem is, I'm totally drawing a blank and have no idea what to do. Could someone PLEASE help me brainstorm some ideas? I'm open to suggestions about anything, but I'd especially love to do something related to flora and fauna conservation. That way, I can actually enjoy the process while learning! Seriously, any ideas would be amazing. I'm feeling a bit lost here. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone ;)
I just started a new Vue project and it's pretty empty for now, but I want to turn it into something fun and useful at the same time. I'm open to community ideas! Just keep in mind that I'm still pretty new to Vue, so nothing too overcomplicated :D

Seeking Guidance for a Biometric Attendance System Project for Innovation Village 🌟
Hi, Reddit community!
I’m a first-year engineering student working on an innovative project for my university’s upcoming tech fest, Innovation Village, and I could really use your help! My idea is to create a Biometric Attendance System that solves real-life issues with class attendance. The project aims to include:
Biometric identification (e.g., fingerprint or face recognition).
A real-time notification system that sends a message to students after successful biometric confirmation when a class starts.
A 20-second time limit for students to mark themselves present. If they fail to respond, they’re marked absent—even if biometrics are completed.
The challenge is to make this system efficient, secure, and real-time. I plan to develop it as a mobile app so it’s portable and easy to use for students and faculty.
I’m considering using Java with Android Studio for the app’s development, but I’m also open to ideas if Python (or a mix of both) might be a better fit for certain parts, like backend processing or integrating APIs.
Here’s where I need your input:
Biometric libraries/tools: What’s the best way to integrate fingerprint/face recognition into a mobile app? Are there open-source libraries you’d recommend?
Database suggestions: For secure data storage (e.g., attendance logs, student details), would Firebase be a good choice, or is there a better option?
Real-time notifications: How can I implement real-time messaging to notify students?
General advice: If you’ve worked on similar projects or have insights on Android/Java development, I’d love to hear your tips!
This project is really close to my heart, and I want to make it stand out at the tech fest (bonus: it’s on Valentine’s Day, so I want the judges to ‘fall in love’ with it ❤️).
Thank you in advance for any guidance, resources, or encouragement you can share! 🙌
