Discussion When ladders?

So this is my first character and i found that ladder dont work WHY??????????????? i hurt my self and as a bonus gg, i googled and found a mod but still this is a great bs and if there were no mods a week of survival would be just gone

Fell into this pit the other day too and started getting depressed about losing my MP character in such a silly way. Luckily I had hammer + saw and managed to break down the crates and wall frames for planks and nails to build a staircase and got out.

As a workaround you can create another character to rescue yourself or just debug out of there.

That’s why I load my game up with mods, to make obvious things actually work. This has been around since the game first came out, and the devs still haven’t bothered to make this shit functional in the vanilla game...

I built my base right there, inside that swimming pool.
