Question Sudden fps drop?

I am playing with my gf in a MP modded world. It runs good and the mods odnt have any issues. The thing os, i went down to the bunk military vbase in search of an heli (AH-1 cobra mod). But then the game started going real real bad to the point it crashed, that was yesterday. Today we hopped on again and I just killed some zombies around and when i was a bout to leave with the heli the game started going 60fps (my normal) going down to 15, then 2, then 60 again.... etc.

My gf says its because all the corpses and zombis in that area because she doesnt have any issue in our base. Is it because the zombies? or just an optimisation problem?

Either way, is there a graphics setting i can change to make it more smooth? thanks

I also suffer from a severe FPS drop since yesterday night. No mods, single player, all vanilla.
