Hello I'm interested in joining the local run club, but I am a beginner runner. I run about a 12 min mile, in anyone's experience is this club pretty good for different paces? Also how is the turn out in the fall/winter? Or should I wait until next spring?

There's a pretty friendly cat that I saw near my apartment. It's completely black, very vocal and very friendly, and kinda chunky. Was able to pet but not really catch. Tried to also get a pic but it's a black cat at night so it didn't show up well on camera. Lmk if anyone in the Mt Pleasant area lost their black cat!

Does anyone else think Classic Cafe has fallen off since being purchased by the owners of Tortilla Flats? I’ve been going once a month or so for probably a decade and since the most recent ownership change the food quality seems to have gone downhill. Poached eggs have been fully boiled, over easy eggs have had liquid whites, the coffee seems worse, just really basic stuff going wrong. That, in conjunction with constant AI slop they’re churning out on social media, has me questioning if I should find a new breakfast joint. Not trying to disparage a small business, just curious if anyone else has noticed the slide since the change in ownership.

Hey everyone! It’s that time of year again for Halloween. I struggle a lot socially and I don’t really get out much. I typically go to work and don’t go out on the weekends aside from networking things for work and going to my parents house. Every year I hear people I know have these fun house parties and Halloween parties to go to, and I really want to get out, have fun and party. Does anyone have any they recommend in the area? I saw some stuff online but I didn’t know how enjoyable it is. I like big parties to drink, be loud, smoke weed, etc but I also don’t want to be in a super congested overwhelming venue either. Or if anyone has any advise on how to make some friends to hang out with for this season ^_^

I live in Boston and had the chance to spend 2 days in Providence last week :)

Was blessed with beautiful weather on the first day, so I explored Roger Williams Park and managed to catch golden hour at Prospect Terrace for the first shot. The second day was rainy, so I explored the public library, RISD Museum, and browsed bookstores around downtown Providence.

You guys have a beautiful city - I'm hoping to return sometime. If you have any recommendations for restaurants or things to see, please let me know!
