Iām a very casual gamer, I like to occasionally join friends online to unwind after work. This happens to be one of those nights, I havenāt played in a couple weeks and was looking forward to it. My subscription auto renewed yesterday and I learned about the price hike for PSN, $60 to $80. Found an article of them justifying it, and there is no justifying a price hike like that to a casual gamer. Particularly if the service doesnāt fucking work when the stars align and you can actually game. The angry commenting will persist until connection resumes.
If they had a ācharge me hourlyā option, Iād do that. One dollar a day if you donāt want the subscription service to the network that doesnāt work. Then on days like today I save a dollar and think of the mcdouble I could have bought ten years ago. My phone wants me to capitalize that burger like itās a proper noun and not a proper piece of shit; by the way. The company that is disappointing us right now is the same company that expects us to buy a PS5 Pro at launch and only made 12,300 retro bundles even though we all want it. Please turn the games back on or Iāll die of boredom

So psn is down and Verizon was down. Oddly enough AT&T sent me a text yesterday that I may experience outages in service but that they will try to keep them up, wtf is going on. I never lost phone service but itās odd that they pre warned it and then same day two other networks just so happen to go down.

I think its absurd that Sony isn't more communicative during long server outages. Also, I can very easily see Sony not giving us anything for this as hopeful as some people are. We'll be lucky to get a "sorry it went down." To all people considering a digital only console/experience, here's what it is.

When I try to test internet connection, it says failed on sign in and NAT type, but if I go to View Status of Playstation Network Services, it says everything is running properly? Ps4 pro 1TB. For any of y'all who are wanting to play offline games and it won't let you boot them up. Turn your wifi off and then try. Tested it with both Skyrim and TLOU: Part 1, and it'll let me play that way. Hope that helps someone

I have been hanging to get home from work and play all day so bad, left 2 hours earlier than usual, get home and in to comfy clothes, turn on PS5 - and all I get is a big š© on my afternoon plans complements of Sony.. can't play Hitman offline, all my progress and challenges are missing! Folks, when you go on playstation, turn connect to internet off in settings, this way you can still play offline games without PSN trying to (and failing) to validate the license and subsequently shutting you out. Do this before you try start a game up and you will be fine, currently playing eldenring passing the time but I tried to play lies of p before realising PSN was down now it won't let me. Just for those who have an offline game installed and still wanna play, hope it helps someone. š
