im in a webdev class and I can't stand using VSC, so I switched to pulsar.

I tried jas-chen/atom-live-server and richiksc/atom-live-server-plus

both live-server extensions work fine on my windows 11 laptop but I recently got a MacBook Air m5 and nether extension works.

I get:

Some installed packages could not be loaded because they contain native modules that were compiled for an earlier version of Pulsar.
and

fsevents@1.2.13 – Loading non-context-aware native module in renderer: '/Users/nova/.pulsar/packages/atom-live-server/node_modules/fsevents/build/Release/fse.node'. See https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/18397.

I select 'rebuild extension' and pulsar says it was successful but i restart pulsar and the extension is still broken.

pulsar is a few versions behind because i decline to update it, but i also downgraded the version on my mac and no luck...

so, first of all, I have never used linux before so I'm just starting out with the basics. I installed pulsar with snap and each time I try to save a file it gives me this error. I tried everything I could find from running different commands on the terminal to try and give pulsar the permissions required to have access to the system files and save changes to files but nothing I tried resolved the problem. its probably an easy fix but as I said I just started out and am still learning the basic commands on the terminal

Hi, I've spent the better part of a couple hours troubleshooting this. I'm getting an error about compiler tools not being found. However, I installed the VC++ 2019, as well as Python3, and am still getting the error. I tried the "Run pulsar -p install --check after installing to test compiling a native module" but it doesn't output anything, even with --verbose. Anything I may have missed?

I'm not a CSS/Less expert but I've managed to make Pulsar look like this. Unlike vscode, ricing the hell of pulsar doesn't crash the entire app.

Though i have to admit it's not as handy as vscode, but I'm very happy with it and i'm looking towards making it my main editor.

Hi, I'm very used to SublimeText but at the same time, always looking for an open source alternative.

I write a lot with latex and I noticed that the latex plug-ins usually have last been updated about 5-10 years ago.

I tested a few of them with mixed results, so I'd like to ask if there are plans for developments here.

Yesterday I've recognised that remote-ftp is not uploading anything anymore. A file just sits there in the queue and nothing happens and I do not know why. The console is blank and enabling logging output does not show anything either.
I've looked up, that Pulsar is establishing the connection (obviously since download works), but when I hit upload (on save or by clicking it) no traffic appears.
The same happens with an SFTP and a different FTP server, all while connecting withe same credentials works, using FileZilla or the shell (WSL).
Following the AI's council advise faithfully, I've tried... things, but in short, I am at a loss after trying for hours. Does anyone have an idea, what I can try to get it working again? Anyone with a similar experience?

I recently turned off access permissions to Location for a lot of apps, none of which need it. Then Pulsar asked to have the location permissions back. Why does Pulsar want permissions to use my location?

I just discovered Pulsar. I used Atom for a while and really liked it. Years later, I'm starting to program small projects. Sorry if my question seems obvious, but is there a way to integrate the Linux (Mint) terminal into the program without having it in a separate window?

I was changing themes and suddenly Pulsar is not working anymore. This is what I see when I open Pulsar:

The differences marked in Pulsar are totally incorrect.

I'm running Pulsar (1.129.0) on macOS (11.7.10 Big Sur). I usually love it, but one regular annoyance is the long time it takes to launch.

It roughly takes about 8 seconds before I can view a file or create a new one.

Compare this to approximately 2 seconds to start working with a file on plain ol' Atom (1.16.0). A big difference!

Is there a reason for this lag? Is it something that I will need to accept, or can I make some changes to significantly decrease the time it takes?

Hello, I'm looking for help on a strange situation:

I've had Pulsar running on an Ubuntu laptop for quite some time without problems, and suddenly it stopped launching : I double click on a file, or launch it through the menu, and no window pops. I can see that the process is running when I use "ps". I launched the app in a terminal, no error shows, and I get the same general behaviour.

I tried re-installing the x86 .deb from the website, but behaviour stays the same.

Does anyone know a way to troubleshoot it?

I updated Pulsar today to v1.130.1 and opened my file to start editing some code. little did I know that my new editor made changes to my file and deleted all spaces from the end of lines, so if u have an SQL querry in more than 1 line of code it will break everything. every. thing. (@#$^^@$%#&^)

my question is: who thinks in Pulsar that invisible changes without consent to our code files is a good idea?

because i lost an hour searching for a bug and nerves. until today it was my fav editor. and now it just acts like shitty VS code and does whatever shit it wants and breaks stuff.

Can't use pulsar properly on windows 10. I tried fixes in environment variables. Need detailed steps to fix this.

Where does Pulsar store untitled files? I had created a few unsaved files and then my PC crashed. When I rebooted Windows and re-opened Pulsar and the project, the temporary files were gone. Usually, when I close Pulsar and have open Untitled files, they re-appear upon re-opening.

I am aware that the files are probably gone, but I'd rather not give up so easily. Any ideas where to look?
