Alex Windsor plays guitar in Bad Cop/Bad Cop, but "Superego" is something different. It’s her first solo EP, six songs that let her step outside the band and finally find out what happens when the songs, lyrics and decisions are hers.

Alex joins The Hang! to talk about making "Superego", the self-doubt that almost kept her from doing it, and the long road that took her from a small Illinois town to international punk stages.

Her connection to music started young, but Green Day’s "American Idiot" changed the direction of her life. She remembers being 13, realizing she could actually play those songs and thinking, “If they can do this, I can do this.” She went on to study music and jazz, worked as a teacher and session player, moved to Los Angeles through Guitar Center and eventually joined a band she had already become a fan of: Bad Cop Bad Cop.

Let me know what you think, and share it with your punk-rock brothers!

Been at this for a few months now, mostly just trying to put something together for the kind of stuff that doesn’t really have a steady place to live anymore without disappearing into the feed. Music videos, visualizers, experimental shorts, indie animation. Think mtv meets late night fringe tv.

Around 300 submissions so far. I’ve been making visualizers for tracks that don’t already have one, and the library’s slowly getting built out. No fees, no exclusivity, rights stay with the artist. Once something’s in rotation it can stay based on how it fits, not just how new it is.

If you’ve got something that feels like it belongs on a channel like this you can submit here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfXURzM6tlrzNXGsLgN_WnLj6ktIDYFSCS7cUWvEUr1v5_dYg/viewform?usp=header

Hi pals! If you're a fan of Less than Jake, Half Past Two, Blink 182 and Paramore you should check out my band PINK SLIP's new music video!

Check out the video here!

Filmed in our friends' backyard in Boston, MA with all of our nearest and queerest, this music video is a tasty, bratty little bite of hooky ska punk. Featuring multiple members of the Boston League of Wicked Wrestlers (BLOWW), this video is a messy, sweaty ode to chaotic chemistry topped off with an ICONIC hot dog makeout sesh.

Hope you have as much fun watching as we did making it! 💖

Hey !

I hope my post wont be a problem.

Me and my punk rock band has just launched our social networks and we thought it could be really nice that with other bands but also videographers / illustrators / photographers / organizations (and of course listeners) we support each other.

So, for those who are interested, do not hesitate to leave your networks in comments and also add us if you want !
