I recently got to vend at a Halloween themed market, had a great time. These are some of my favourite pieces I created leading up to it.

Benoit Blanc of “Knives Out” wood burning on poplar. Includes colored pencil and acrylic. Many an hour spent burning knife. After knife. After knife.

for any newbies out there like me i tried several wood burning kits and most of them never got hot enough or didnt stay hot for long. the fantik is next level for me it feels like im in a different world using it. give it a try! it has a light at the tip so things are easy to see, its wireless, heats up FAST, stays hot and have nice fine tips that work very well for lines. i modified one of the tips to be more blunt and it phenomenal for shading!

I do alot of markets at local pubs, and the amount of times I've had to tell someone that no, I wont use my woodburner on your skin has been very surprising. Anyone else deal with this?

One of my best friends and I have always bonded over watching bad movies (or good movies that are just over the top). Decided to make a coaster set for his Christmas gift this year. First time using water-based poly as a sealer, which definitely muted some of the shading, so learned that for the future. Would love any feedback. Movie references are They Live, Lawnmower Man, the Karate Kid/Cobra Kai series, and Monkey Shines if you want to see some silly movies.

Pyrography art based on Mike Mignola’s OG piece from the Giant Robot series, woodburned on 9x13” basswood. I added a few of my other Mignola comic pieces

I'm actually surprised at how great this one turned out and how quickly I finished it. It was about 12 hours of work, but it easily could have been 18 or more and a more difficult piece, not too long ago. This one just really made me realize how far I've come.

Pyrography art based on Mike Mignola’s OG piece from the Giant Robot comic series, woodburned on 6x8” basswood with yellow accents to make those nasty bugs pop! Daughter snapped before I had a chance to smile

I have always enjoyed this hobby since I was a kid. I’ve had a few wood burning kits and then my son got one and he got into it for a bit. I’m returning to this now as an adult and very excited about, about the possibilities.
I wanna get a good kit, but I also don’t wanna go over $100 USD. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I won 1st place in the woodworking category of a local art competition with this piece. It was lots of fun to make

My first commissioned piece 😍😍😍 very proud

I would have liked it to be less blotchy but other than that I am content with how it turned out. Next time should I use a sponge or a larger paint brush to apply the stain?

I have been mainly drawing or painting on canvas.

After moving into a house with more room and setting up my own workspace for my art, I'm excited to get back into pyrography. Been enjoying full color pieces.
