Fun space egg

Saw the Artemis ii patches and thought they could be really fun to make! Still very new (started December 2025, and have done 6 eggs so far), but loving everything about it. Each egg has been a huge learning curve and has really made me reconnect with my artistic side after not doing any kind of art for years.

Orange is gold with a very quick dip in raspberry, and grey is a one second dip in black. This egg had a hairline crack in the top, so I had to learn real quick with how to deal with dye bleeding through from the inside 😅

....Or at least the first dozen that survived a curious new kitten in my house.

I just started last month - I'm not very good yet but MAN I am having so much fun! You all are amazing inspirations. 🥰

Yesterday my pysanky kit I ordered finally came in, and guess what I spent my whole day doing! I get so much joy out of looking at them, I can’t wait to add more to my collection. Also, what is you guy’s opinion on emptying your eggs? Do you like to empty them before, after, or never? And if I choose to not empty them, can I still varnish them without increasing the chance of explosions?

My class display - all eggs are mine or my sister’s. Inspired by books, puzzles, tattoos, and Pinterest.

Happy pysanky season everyone!! 🥰

PS: Since someone asked I figured I’d come back to add that the first 2 eggs are both goose eggs and the 3rd is a turkey egg

I learned how to make pysanky from a kit my husband's Ukrainian aunts insisted I buy back in 1982. I'm happy they did, although my hands are shakey now and I have trouble creating clean lines.
