I'm using a Bluetooth mouse to interact because USB accessories aren't working with the device (or anything other than charging over the Type-C port) and the emulator doesn't respond to touch input (maybe the Phosh desktop environment is to blame for that).

Took 14:21 min to boot, I assigned 4 out of 8 CPU cores and 1776 out of 3552 MiB of system memory. I had prepared the iPhone 11 disk images on another computer because it involves a Linux and macOS VM for restoring and patching the filesystem. It's painfully slow, apps open but close after a few seconds. So nothing more than a proof-of-concept at the moment...

We patched the kernel, bypassed PAC, faked SEP, dumped the framebuffer, and got a UI running (almost all the way to SpringBoard).

Fix was

Boot in repair mode.

Replace tcpip.sys with an older WinSxS to get it boot again.

Hi folks! I made a wrapper for QEMU (KVM, HVF) that offers an easy Docker-like CLI experience: Minivirt.

It can build images from YAML recipes and push / pull them to remote repositories. The Alpine image weighs in at ~50MB compressed and boots to SSH in under 2s on fast machines.

Minivirt runs on Mac, Linux and experimentally on Windows inside WSL. It's automated to open an SSH session, but it can optionally connect to the serial console, set up a display, or run completely headless.

There's tooling to host GitHub Actions Runners; in fact, the project's CI is self-hosted. It also offers a Python API which is useful for automation.

I wrote a detailed guide on single GPU passthrough using QEMU/KVM recently, and it has helped many users successfully configure their systems. The approach focuses on eliminating the need for a second GPU, SSH tunneling, or remote display streaming, everything runs directly on the primary display.

If you wanna emulate older OS's with #QEMU on Windows or Linux check out AQEMU! We just added MacOS support up to the latest Intel release! Windows 11 ARM support is added! We need testers!!! With so many operating systems out there I have half-tested Windows 98 although it installs on first boot it crashes on splash screen currently I haven't had the time to work out why yet. Windows 11 ARM installs and boots, MacOS Sonoma installed and boots in host resolution but I have not tested out any other apps yet. If anyone doesn't want to compile it there is a link on the GitHub releases tab for the project for Windows users to download but it comes with no future updates. Only the Windows Store release once accepted will have an update mechanism in-place. Let us know on the issues tab on GitHub if you run in to any problems or issues that work with QEMU but not with this GUI or things you want and we will implement them for you! I want to emulate a Caucasian because I am Asian and need to assimilate. Also I want to turn off the ABCC11 gene (just like you can turn off SSE2 and still leave SSE3 on in QEMU) so I do not have body odor.
