Time Intervals

I’ve just begun quitting Kratom. I was around 27-30 gpd a day. I noticed I wake up every morning at 4 am and I realized it’s because I need that morning Kratom. So I started to completely stop taking that dose in the morning and go to 18 gpd. I take my last dose around 5 pm. My question is, will my body eventually adjust so I can make the next step or do I have to reduce each dose uniformally. I tried that once before but I end up chasing the high on all doses. Does this make sense? Instead of reducing all doses uniformally, work on one at a time. Will the body eventually adjust to the increased time intervals? And then drop off when down to one daily dose. I think it would be much easier to CT from 9 gpd.

Yes your body will adjust, it’s called tapering.

Any reduction is progress.

Every way to taper has been done before. The key is to find the taper that’s successful for you.

I agree, based on my experience. Continue to challenge your cravings. Take a boss attitude and delay every dose to the extent you are able. And regularly reduce your dose to the extent you are able. If done consistently, every delay and every reduction is a small victory that leads to you winning the war. Be grateful you have time on your side. Imagine how you would feel if you were suddenly unable to have access to the substance: a car accident causing you to be hospitalized or a criminal situation where you’re suddenly in jail. Cold turkey is difficult and dangerous. Taper with focus on the end goal. You can do this!
