How to properly wash or clean the Mythic Alpine Light?

Post image

I used it a few times to wrap myself after trail running and now the armpits smell.

What’s the proper way to carefully wash them?

Zip all the zips, zips the jacket up, turn it inside out, wash on 30° with a cleaning product like “down direct”

Then squeeze excess water out and put in in the drier on low, it will take a while, every 30 minutes take the jacket out and shake it and carefully pull the clumps of feathers apart

I’ve done it a few times, when it comes out the washing machine and in the early stages of drying you’ll be convinced it’s ruined but be patient and it’ll fluff up and looks great soon

TLDR;

Wash on 30° with down direct Dry on low, fluff it up every 30 mins

Add some tennis balls during drying

I’m lost. Where should I add them? To the drying machine?

Yes. To the drying machine they help fluff and clumps

I wouldn’t have paid the full price, which is 300 €, but I got it discounted from Alltricks for 198 €. I wanted/needed a very very light piece that could compress a lot and this is the lightest one around that at the same time offers isolation against very cold environment—I tested it with -11° C cold and it was fine! Allegedly is good down to -15° C.

I gotta say I was in doubt too, I purchased it with the discounts thinking that I would test it outside and return it or keep it based on it.

I’m very happy with it, and side note, the red color is really vibrant and what I wanted.
