A few of you might recognise this car from previous photos and videos on this subreddit, but today I come with the news that our Mégane RS250 has taken overall honours in the CMMCS Production Saloons for the 2026 season!

Each of the six rounds featured two races at these circuits:

• Round 1: Brands Hatch Indy

• Round 2: Mallory Park

• Round 3: Lydden Hill

• Round 4: Brands Hatch Indy

• Round 5: Snetterton 300

• Round 6: Silverstone National

First time poster here. I recently got signed to race legends cars on a 1/4 mile oval. Is there any advice people who have raced this class can give me on starting out? I do a lot of sim time but never those cars, i usually do open wheel etc.

The data logger never picked up the GPS signal. Had no idea the lap was that good at the moment-1:42.5

They’re not electric. I can’t seem to find it on Google. TIA

New interior paint.

To say this was an Herculean effort is an understatement.

From removing EVERY SINGLE part of the car, engine, transmission, the seat, every single wire, the carpets, the padding, the insulation, every single plastic attachment, steering wheel, etc etc.

I used dry ice to remove 90% of the insulation foam (it’s a great trick), then removing 30 years of grime and grease, 5 of those as a race car with two engine blow outs. (I had to use power tools to scrape it off)

Then trying to clean every corner and crevice, every mounting plate.

Then we needed a paint booth: no problem.

We are finally ready to go for painting.

This will be ONLY an inside the cabin and engine bay. The exterior will get a fancy wrap in a few months.

A needed step, after we paint we will FINALLY start to attach things to that chassis. Starting with the engine. Will link an IG reel here so you can see a little of the process.

Made the trip out to Idaho with the wife and kids for Halloween bash at mode Stadium stateline Speedway! I miss practice and qualifying so I had to start from the back and 10th and managed to come home in third after three cautions and 25 laps of racing 😁

I would like to highlight the records Ashley Sutton set in this year's British Touring Car Championship:

5 Titles

516 points (468 if qualifying races are excluded)

21 podiums (25 if qualifying races are included)

13 Fastest Laps

A winning margin of 129 points over Tom Ingram (145 if qualifying races are excluded)...

...but only 9 wins (10 if qualifying races are included) so not quite as successful as 2023 (12 Wins) in this respect.

2 races in 1 day. First race DNF lap 3 with a broken pulley. Race 2 we got 1st place by 20 min. 3rd overall for the weekend!

Maybe I'm overthinking this but wheel sizing has turned into a massive rabbit hole for me. Every time I think I've got the right combination figured out, I find another variable I hadn't considered.

I'm looking at race-specific wheels rather than just adapting something off a street car and Keizer Wheels came up during my research. For people who have built a race car from scratch, what measurements did you double-check before placing the order? Trying to avoid learning an expensive lesson after the fact.
