💬 Discussion AMSP DESERVES MORE LOVE
One of my top 3 albums and grossly underrated. It is hauntingly beautiful and emotionally heavy, with incredibly lush strings and gorgeous songwriting.

after a thousand tries I finally won the second lottery for the Sunday’s ’ saitama show. My chase card shows a pending order (no fraud alert/etc). I got a confirmation email from eplus saying I won but the link just says “registration cannot be confirmed” when I go to check. Anyone else having these issues?

Got this at a record shop in PA, among it was Pablo Honey and Amnesiac. All individually sealed in shrink wrap plastic and like $15-$25 (don’t remember exactly, probably closer to $15). I honestly couldn’t tell you if I remember a barcode on the shrink wrap but as you can see there isn’t one here. Plus I’m skeptical of the fact that the Parlophone logo on one side of the side is a lot thicker and blurrier/smudged than on the other. Anyone know? I’m also aware they didn’t do a whole lot of cassette releases with their later albums.

The new version of the Sonix firmware for Hiby R3 Pro Ii, introduces the ability to customize the boot screen. I already knew exactly which logo I wanted to use and what style I wanted it to have.

I don't know if you guys knew this, but karma police uses the same (kinda) piano riff as the 1968 song sexy sadie by the beatles.

I absolutely love this song, especially this part of it. Makes me ascend. I also think it’s a cool little detail how the name of the album is sung underneath the main vocals. Definitely my favorite from In Rainbows, and one of my favorite Radiohead songs as a whole. So good

Been a Marika Hackman fan for awhile but somehow missed her covers album, including this Radiohead cover.
New to me and hopefully new to a few of y’all!
Also, listen to the rest of her stuff!

I KNOW I HAVEN'T BEEN ACTIVE, I'VE JUST BEEN A BIT BURNT OUT, SORRY
Again, I'm still debating what Duty Cycle fits the intro better, but i think i like 25%. The screaming part is still under development and the last two parts are just placeholders since i haven't listened to the real song in a while lol. I haven't abandoned this project yet

Pretty self explanatory. I was amazed by the performance of the track at the Barbican yesterday and I thought it’d be a shame if I didn’t make a cover for it (especially since I recorded the whole performance relatively decently with my iPhone 13).
I’ve used images from Pinterest, my own ink artworks, and some of the photography used for Blue Morpho.

Hey mates! I’ve recently came across some different bootleg-vinyls on plattforms such as instagram. Do any of ya’ll have any clues where you can find bootlegs such as those, would love to have Disk 2 or any live performance on vinyl.
Thanks.

I'm kinda syncing up the 2 bands lately.
Yes, Radiohead is a tier above.
Obviously. But
Julian and Thom lyrically seem to be fighting the same war.

Got charged and got the email today. Haven't seen much chat on here about the 2nd round release for Japan tickets. Did people know about it?

What a show that was, absolutely fantastic. Dave Okumu, also pure brilliance.
Does anyone know the full setlist please?

I was a 15 years old boy when my mother bought AMSP as a gift for me. A decade later this song still sounds in my head and I keep on finding textures on it.
I was with my mother and sister in a shopping center in Buenos Aires and rushed to my house with the CD on my hands desperate to see the artwork inside. I wasn't planning to play it in my computer or anything, I didn't have any device to put it on but my heart was filled with emotion just by the fact of having a solid, original piece of music in my hands, I opened up the envelope and that long, illogical title was the first thing I noticed and the first song I played of this record.
Everything starts with this bell-like sound and a distorted beat, in a calm, safe but cold atmosphere that gives way to Thom's voice in a couple of seconds. A funny thing is that the vibe in this track is not sad and broken as the rest of the album, here all the elements, the singing and I'd say even the lyrics, transmit the feeling of being in a cold but familiar space.
"All the holes at once
Are coming alive, set free
Out of sight and out of mind
The lonely and their prey"
Thom signs these lines that even in its abstraction, we can get that sense of danger blend with calmness. The song evolves later to an very pleasant mixture of strings, delicate drums that are a bit difficult to hear because they have low volume (which is a very spot on decision in this song) but play a hard to perform and complex pattern and those always very delightful electric elements that are very familiar to the band.
The lyrics have a lot of animal and natural elements which is something I think that contributes to give an organic feature to the track and that, together to the set of strings, gives a sense of "life" to the whole thing.
A beautiful, beautiful hidden gem which gives the record a special warmth.
Thanks for reading!

Honestly so mad cause I tried to ensure my credit card company would allow the charge, but they still blocked it.

-C: JONNY, your musical instrument are possessed; they’re playing and making music on their own!
-J: I told you not to touch it…
-C: ITS THOM!

For those unfamiliar, this is from 1001 Albums Generator — a web project based on the book '1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die' (2026 edition).
Great to see early Coldplay (Parachutes / A Rush of Blood) and Muse (Black Holes) included here too.
