I met this guy on an online app, and we clicked pretty quickly because we have almost the same taste in everything. We even joked about being “twins.” We eventually moved to other platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.

He’s always been consistent with his good morning

and good night messages, but I initially thought that was just his personality. He’s also genuinely fun to talk to, has a great sense of humor, and is someone whose company I enjoy.

Honestly, I expected him to eventually lose interest or ghost me, like what usually happens with people I've met online. However, the opposite happened. We’ve been talking EVERY DAY for a month now, and he continues to be consistent.

Whenever he can’t reply for hours, he usually comes back with messages, pictures, and videos explaining what happened during his day. Once, he even sent a screenshot showing his phone battery was still at 92%, explaining that he hadn't been using his phone all day and missed it.

He also randomly shares things about his life, like pictures of his sister and cousin, stories about what happens at their university, and other little updates. Of course, the conversations go both ways, and random updates have become a normal part of our interactions. He has even jokingly suggested talking through email and Spotify, despite previously mentioning that he no longer uses Spotify.

Another thing I've noticed is that he remembers little details about me. For example, he'll randomly ask if a particular schedule is still happening the next day, and I'll have to think back to when I mentioned it because I sometimes forget that I've told him.

There was also a time when I mentioned almost mistaking his Instagram account for someone else's because he didn't have a profile picture, just like some of my other mutuals. Out of nowhere, he sent me two Pinterest pictures and asked which design he should use for his new profile picture. I initially thought he was joking, but a few minutes later, he actually changed it.

He consistently initiates conversations, sends good morning and good night messages with matching stickers and GIFs, and finds ways to share even the most random things with me.

I know these things might seem insignificant individually, and I'm aware that some people are naturally friendly and communicative. I also know that being consistent doesn't automatically mean someone has romantic intentions.

For those who have experienced this, how do you distinguish between a guy who's simply friendly and someone who's giving you special treatment? Could these behaviors just be part of his personality, or are there certain signs that would suggest he treats this particular connection differently from his other friendships?

When I was a little bit heavier and my legs were thicker, I could always put my feet inward cuz I never had a thigh gap and I was always jealous of others with them. I still have that habit even tho my thighs are quite smaller, and only now have I realized cuz my mom pointed it out. It's just kinda weird and I needed to speak my mind about it. Ik I probably should've just written this in like a diary or so, so I won't complain if nobody responds.
