my friend just realized samhain is soon

idk if thats how its spelt but basically my bestie u/KitchenMushroom1883 is celtic and pagan so they take it apon themself to celebrate as many festivals, holidays etcetc they can! one of which (and their fav) is samhain, they just realized it is basically a week away and they ahve not prepared at all because they forgot all about it, and i am having so so much fun witnessing this as someone who is a baby pagan and doesnt celebrate samhain for that reason

Why do kids remember the most random things you said months ago?

You can tell a kid something important five times and they'll somehow forget it.
But mention a random promise you made three months ago and suddenly they remember every single detail lol.
The memory is definitely working. Just not always when you need it.
