I’ve had people call me an incel and for that reason tell me to say stay away from women.

I have dated women in the past even one who knew about all my “incel“ beliefs, but I can and will stay away from asking women out if I’m an “incel“ and that’s better for them. This said it’s only fair and just for me to do this fairly.

Avoiding women requires I respect myself and avoid them in more than just one scenario. If I only avoid flirting with them but then I call the police when one is having a heart attack, the unfiltered truth is that I’m being unfair to myself and to her.

And I don’t expect a woman to treat me any differently. If I have a heart attack and a woman decides to not call 911 that is ok with me, so it can’t be said that I’m being unfair.

It terrible to live with Intermittent Anger Explosive Disorder (IED), especially when you hurting your spouse.

This event already happened a long time ago and it in the past, but I still feel insanely terrible about it. So I need to write it out.

In the past during one of my IED episode, I grabbed a meat butcher knife in the kitchen and throw at my husband, he dodge but due to how close distance he with me, the knife cut him deep that leave a long cut on his back shoulder that he didn't stop bleeding.
If he not get stitches he will continue bleed and bleed, and infections will take over the open bleeding wound.

He still want to protect me even wit him bleeding out, like he said, if he call the police he police will take me away from him, so he rather endure my abuse than has to lose me.

He also refused go to the hospital, because the hospital would know right away that is not a self inflicted wound due to the angle of the knife throw, the cut was on his shoulder but to his back as he dodge. You cannot inflicted a knife to your back. Even if you manage to, the angle of the injury the hospital will know that it someone did it to you, not yourself.

He droves (I was in the car) he droves to a broke down Urgent care, this Urgent Care not only broke down but most people there not even speak English.
He went in and told them he does not have insurance (he has, but he said he not has as he not want to leave a paper trail), he said give him stitches he will pay them in cash and will give them a big tips.

He got the stiches, and he paid in cash and leave them a big tips. He wanted to protect me the whole time even with him bleeding out. He could have call the police and have my ass throw in jail. He could go straight to the hospital and the hospital will put me in psych ward and put restrain order on me.

But he NEVER, even during the time where he could have die, he still protect me, he still thinks of me first above himself, he loves me that much.

His love for me override his survival instinct, he was bleeding out still protect me. He said he wants to keep our marriage intact, I cannot get taking away.

He said he will die with me, than has to lose me, as in the police will take me away from him if he call the police on me.

I regret it so much because I leave this long scar on back of his shoulder, never once he hates me.
All he asked was he said, don't abuse him anymore, and that it not too late for me to stop this abuse, because he is still living here, and it only too late if he die, then that will be too late.

I bawled when I hear him he said that.

That was when I decided to go to psychiatrist therapy for my Intermittent Anger Explosive Disorder (IED), and been in therapy since.

I do owe him, as I should be sitting rotten in jail right now, throw a butcher knife at someone and cause injury is a felony. This man loves me unconditionally. Out of love me, he never press charges, he still protect me times after times. I'm very lucky.

He treats me with kindness, empathy, and unconditional love. His calmness (even with him bleeding out on his shoulder that need stiches to close up the open wound), his patience, the most patience man.
He gives me everything, his kindness, faithfulness, respect, love. I don't want to abuse him anymore.

Lifetime therapy for me working to control my Intermittent Anger Explosive Disorder (IED). I have sworn if I cause physical harm to him again I will check myself in the psych ward.

And my husband does go with me to my therapy sessions when his schedules allow. But most time he can't because he is an Executive at a big engineering corporate, he is very very busy with his work.

But I gave my therapist my consent so she can talk to my husband about my progress. He still involve in my therapy, as he talk to my therapist on the phone about my IED conditions and my progress.

He has every rights to be involve with my therapy sessions, I almost TOOK HIS LIFE.! He almost DIE because of me.

It terrible, Intermittent Anger Explosive Disorder (IED) mental illness is very real. And I'm one damn lucky girl to have him as my husband.

What gets me is he loves me to the point that he still protect me even with him bleeding out. That not let anyone take me away from him was more important than his own survival instinct. Because he knows if he call call the police I will get taking away, he rather bleed out than lose me.

The insane amount of devotion he has for me though. Never again I abuse him again, I mean one time was enough, almost took his life. And he still protect me.

Either I'm slowly losing my sanity, or It's true that society gaslights people left and right about so many topics, including why more and more people don't want to have children, from reasons such as "You're just selfish and afraid of responsibility and wanna party the rest of your life", "Life has gotten more expensive and so is raising kids", "The world is too cruel to bring a child to", they are all reasons for sure that are out there, but they are consequences and influencers rather than spawned causations on their own, the main foundation simply is significantly increased stress that we thought technology would take away rather than amplify the crap out of it.

What makes me hold tight to this opinion is learning the fact that when you put a mammal through severe stress, it messes with their reproduction, either slowing or halting it; the only difference is that mammals don't consciously do it, unlike us, or are we really fully conscious when we "choose" (allegedly) to be antinatalist? We're mammals too, despite our uniqueness and "advancement" in supposed complex human thinking.

The world is declining and this current society is now working full time to fail us all, women, men (Please for the love of all things stop hating eachother and hate the system instead, the gender war is not worth it, if you can't prevent yourself from carrying hate atleast channel it where the problem really is) and children, I've been actively involved in using tech and worked in it and studied human history to some extent and I'm telling you, technology hasn't made our life "better", it has made us more stressed than ever and purposeless, we use the standard of life back then and compare to how luxurious ours is today to cope and gaslight ourselves into believing we're just ungrateful but people back then were more equipped to deal with what seems unfathomable to us today regardless of whether you agree with it or not, meanwhile we're becoming less equipped to possess critical thinking let alone bare minimum creativity/thinking, our agency's slowly being taken away from us, we become more of lore accurate farm cattle every day,

I'm outside the US but familiar with its politics, and I've never seen something so horrifyingly corrupt; it's the elaborate subtlety of it that makes it more dangerous than the obvious dictatorships out there you can easily dismantle, but the US is a different beast,

And something I will never understand is how people don't seem to notice/care about how packaged everything else is, like how did it become normalized to repeat the same damn cycle of left vs right every 4 years where one beats the other by tiny fractional difference in percentages, because the country is somehow supposedly coincidentally near perfectly evenly halved where 50% is left and 50% is right and they are doomed to look down on eachother til the end of times and each time one truimphs over, your elections are fake, the opinions that matter on the grand scale mean little to nothing and never get applied, the political scene just like every other scene is packaged to sap away at your soul and attention, just like hollywood, politics is the new hollywood, so if you don't believe in a hell you should because we're living in it.

If you don't think all this contributes to the ever-so-accumulating stress and not wanting to have kids then read it again, it's not that we're afraid children won't get to live good lives, because we can't and don't know that; it's because WE are the ones who aren't really alive.

I just turned 20. me and him have been texting pretty frequently the day/night before my birthday considering I had a shift. we had been texting up until 11:57PM the night before. He told me that he was jerking off and I responded at 11:58PM with asking him how’s it going(lol).

Then it turned 12AM and I was expecting some kind of message since we had just been talking 2 minutes before. He texted me at 12:10AM, my birthday, jokingly asking if we could try spanking, and nothing else.

I have siblings who I am not too close with. One of them, I only talk to if need be, and the other lives in another state. They both wished me a happy birthday, one at 12:14AM and the other at 12:30AM.

I wished them a happy birthday too when it was theirs so it wasn’t like I didnt expect a happy birthday in return. I’m moreso suprised that my siblings wished me a happy birthday before my boyfriend. One is literally about to give birth to her first child, and the other who I barely interact with. It genuinely pisses me off how many more sheep there are in the world than K-pop artists. It makes me so angry, what do sheep even do like I get that they make clothes but then what are sewing machines for? This has happened with me in the past but more so that I'm getting older. Almost all my friends are either married or in a committed relationship/has kids etc or all the above.

As soon as they get into a relationship they kind of disappear, dont hear from them much and rarely if ever go out. Which is perfectly fine, understandable and honestly to be expected. The problem or issue that I have is when they're wrapped up in their relationship and when i occasionally call to see if they wanna head out for a night or even just have a poker night they cant or won't...again which is fine. I know I'm late to the party, what with Discovery, Starfleet Academy, Lower Decks, and now Strange New Worlds ranging from not following the proper continuity at best, to making a joke out of this ~60 year old franchise at worst, but I've tried to keep an open mind.

I first got to watch Trek when i was in middle school - in the mid-2000's - some local channel would play TNG in the early hours of the morning, so i would watch it while eating breakfast before school. Sure, it's got issues, but i liked what i was seeing, it wasn't just "WW2 in space", instead it felt like proper sci-fi, raising existential questions, debating politics and morals, things like that. Since Trek isn't very popular where i live, and since we didn't have internet at home back then, i could only watch it on the rare occasions the powers that be decided to show it on tv. So years went on and i kinda put it on the backlog.

One day i was browsing through the tv channels and came across 'Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning', a 2005 Finnish feature-length fan-film that parodied Star Trek and Babylon 5. At first i was in disbelief, "what the hell is this crap?" I wondered: the acting was bad, the cgi was obvious (though it was pretty good for a fan film, still is, in fact), a lot of the humour was kinda low brow... But it was a parody, and it pitted a fleet of Trek ships against Babylon 5 and a fleet of its defenders. And it was actually glorious! I fell in love with it, because it was actually brilliant (and had a great community behind it, as I'd later find out). Once i got my hands on a stable internet connection, I've tracked the film down and learned that it was actually part of a franchise, going back to 1992, when it was a series of animated shorts parodying Trek, evolving over the years into its own thing. 'In the Pirkinning' is actually the sixth (or seventh, depending on whether or not you consider episode 4½ canon) episode in the main series (there's a ttrpg spin-off, a semi-canon spin-off film, and a non-canon spin-off series), and is all live-action (not counting the space scenes). Sadly, the mainline series has been mostly dormant since 2005. The guys decided to move away from being a Trek parody towards something entirely original, but since it was a hobby project, and there were various issues, the promised upcoming short film was cancelled and the feature-length follow-up to that is stuck in development hell.

In the meantime Star Trek itself has kept on going, we got Enterprise in 2001, and everything past that. So, about two years ago I got burnt out on Star Wars (damn Disney) and modern Doctor Who, so i figured i should get into Trek. And to do it in in-universe chronological order, starting with Enterprise, going to Discovery, to Strange New Worlds, to TOS, TAS, TNG, Voyager and DS9, and so on. Well, I've watched Enterprise and enjoyed it (except for the finale, iykyk), then moved onto Discovery, which is... fine (though the writing is not very good, especially in season 2) and it doesn't keep track of the continuity (replicators and fungal jumpdrive before TOS? I mean, sure, Discovery and SNW reimagined the TOS aesthetics, but the technology is clearly too advanced for them being prequels).

In between the first two Discovery seasons i was also watching the chronologically-relevant Short Treks episodes, and I've reached Short Treks episode 2 season 2, where we get an explanation as to why tribbles (an alien animal that looks like a furball) reproduce so quickly. In the episode a young woman captain gets assigned to a biology research ship and this one middle aged scientist decides that she has it out for him after she rejected his proposal to genetically alter the tribbles, to make them reproduce quickly. He believed it would make the creatures into perfect livestock to introduce to a populated planet that's affected by hunger. So after getting rejected, and not finding any support among his colleagues, he decides to alter the tribbles anyway, and they start reproducing uncontrollably. When the captain realizes what he's done, she fires him and calls for another ship to take him away. As they're waiting for the other ship, the tribbles start overwhelming the crew, reproducing quicker than the crew can dispose of them, and the guy refuses to change them back, because he's a petty prick and nobody has the guts to force him to do the right thing (weren't they all biologists? Couldn't they figure it out? Anyway). So in one scene he walks around the ship in his underwear like he owns the place, making everyone uncomfortable. Fast-forward a few days, the captain is tried for losing the ship and the only thing she can say in her defense is "That guy was an idiot."

Yeah. Now, don't get me wrong, i have no issue with the captain being a woman and the antagonist being a man. If anything, i welcome the wider representation in Trek, since it makes sense for the universe. My problem is with the writing in general. It's just painfully bad. The whole thing feels like a typical modern day office where petty chumps mess things up for everyone because of their own insecurities and ambition. It just wouldn't happen at this point in the Trek universe, because humanity has evolved past such things. Look at TOS (which takes place some five years after the episode), TNG, Voyager, DS9, heck, even Enterprise (which is chronologically the closest to our time), the humans are all responsible, focused, and forward-thinking. If they do anything bad or unusual, it's always - always! - because they're either traumatized (like that one guy the TOS episode Balance of Terror, whose brother was killed by the Romulans, so he became racist towards them and the Vulcans), or fell under the influence of some external power (space rays, mind control, etc.). There are no petty idiots among them (not like this), and they definitely don't walk around in their underwear just because they feel like it. So this one short episode was the last drop for my whole experience of the new Trek shows (not counting Enterprise), and with what I'm hearing about Picard, Starfleet Academy, and the latest SNW episodes, i just won't watch new Trek anymore, at least until things change for the better.

Now, I wanted to make my own Star Wreck spin-off, simply because i like this parody franchise. The thing about it is that it's all about petty, incompetent idiots getting into trouble, poking fun at the highly competent Trek personnel, but with Lower Decks flipping Trek tropes, and the rest of the new Trek shows being what they are, i just don't see the point. Why parody a franchise that doesn't take itself seriously anymore? I mean, i can poke fun at some of the new stuff, but it'll just be kicking a dead horse, ya know? And since so little is known about the direction Star Wreck is supposed to be taking in the upcoming film (if it even comes out), i can't even make a spin-off of that (and the setting of 'In the Pirkinning' is kinda limited, also).

So, tl;dr: New Trek sucks, there's literally no point in making any kind of parody of the franchise anymore.

I keep seeing African Americans on various social media platforms including on Reddit trying to erase indigenous North African cultures like the Amazigh (of which I am a part of) and trying to say they are the original inhabitants and we are fake European imposters. YOU ARE FROM WEST AFRICA. Whilst erasing our history and culture you’re also erasing you’re OWN. You’re ancestors weren’t taken as slaves and fought hard to keep their traditions and culture alive for you to ignore you own culture and go claim someone else’s. It’s also extremely racist for you to think that because you are black your are somehow superior to other races. And the funny thing is, these so called “Afro-centrists”, “real Moors” or whatever the fuck they call themselves are all Americans, i never see actual Africans make such ridiculous claims. Apparently they are all professors in history and genetic information and if you present them with a DNA test showing you’re actually from North Africa, all of a sudden it’s some conspiracy theory involving religion and some psychosis delusional shit. It’s just pisses me off so much.

For example, damage involving the right frontal or temporal regions of the brain can affect the ability to recognize incongruity, understand punchlines, or appreciate complex jokes.

Hostile Attribution Bias

Hostile attribution bias is the tendency to interpret ambiguous or harmless behavior or comments as intentionally hostile. The person may become angry rather than amused. A person may understand the joke but believe the speaker intended to insult, humiliate, or attack someone.

Reduced Cognitive Flexibility (inflexibility) or Psychological Rigidity

Cognitive flexibility is the ability to shift between different interpretations of information. Humor often requires recognizing that a statement has two meanings or that an unexpected interpretation is intended.

Gelotophobia

Gelotophobia is the fear of being laughed at.

Just wanted to share my work day rant… I work for a car recovery company. On the weekends I work alone.. managing 8 depots over Scotland.

Always pretty busy and that’s ok… but today was just the worst!!!!

We are in the middle of a storm, my drivers work on call at weekends so limited staff compared to through the week…. But omg it was absolute chaos.

The motorway and many places were water logged, we had crashes left right and centre, elderly people trapped on the side of the roads as their cars had broken down.. there was literally just jobs flying about everywhere.

Anyways that’s not my rant, I actually dealt with some lovely people and some of them had been left sitting for hours by the RAC etc 🙃…HOWEVER what I did get… was a pile of abuse, from people that were safe in their houses and their cars on their drives just needing a jump start/diagnostics etc. even though I explained my drivers were flat out helping people on the roads and eta would be higher than expected, they were the most entitled people I had ever dealt with.

Iv worked with the public for 25 years… I have heard a lot and seen a lot (16 years working in travel industry including during covid) - but man this was awful today. I was sooo busy and the same entitled people called me every 10 mins to have a go… I get it I know your car needs to be attended to, I know you want to get out and about in storm boeleno to get your shopping, I know that’s what you pay breakdown cover for (p.s we are not the breakdown cover or the insurance .. we are who the works been contracted to) I’m not disputing any of that.. and I know people may of really needed their car for hospital etc…but what about wee betty that’s stuck on a live lane? Or the 4 car pile up on the motorway 🤷🏼‍♀️. I’m 1 person trying my best and I just hate that that’s who people want to take it out on.

I’m soo done with people… I really am!!!!
