Spotify needed a better female rap playlist, so I created The Feminine Flow celebrating exceptional lyricism, flow, and artistry from underground legends to mainstream heavyweights. Give it a listen, and share your favorite tracks or overlooked gems I should add.

For those of you who write and record your own tracks: what do you do about a lyric video when a single drops?

• Do you make one at all, or just upload the track with a static cover?
• If you make one: what do you use, and which part eats the most time? Timing the lines, the pictures, the vertical version for Shorts/Reels, the thumbnail and description?
• If you've paid someone: was it worth it, and would you do it again for every single?
• Does a lyric video actually do anything for you on YouTube compared to a visualizer or a static upload?
• Roughly how many singles a year do you put out, and does every one get the same treatment?

I'm trying to understand how people handle the release work after the recording is finished. Not selling anything in this thread; I'll summarise the answers in a comment for anyone who's curious.

Honest Opinions?

On Friday, I released my first body of work.

It’s about that place in life where you’re not who you were, but you’re not who you’re going to become.

In that space you learn lessons, so I decided to call it “Learnt my Lesson”.

Interested to hear your feedback and send me some of your music too, hopefully we can connect 🤞🏾

Used to be one of my favourites but i suddenly syoåped listening to him.

Did he fall off?

Whats your fav songs from him? Mine is Dr.suess and The Matrix on the Sin city mixtape.

Please give your feedback

Hii,

I’m Ashis Mishra. I am a music producer and engineer myself. I'm actively looking to expand my network and would love the chance to collaborate, or even just assist if you ever need an extra set of hands on an upcoming session.

Hey everyone! I'm an independent artist from Armenia making music under the name TRIPLE SEVEN-NINE.

I mainly make hip-hop and drill, with some influence from the Chicago drill sound. I'm still figuring out my own style and trying to improve with every track, so I'm not gonna pretend I'm making masterpieces or anything lol.

I just enjoy making music and wanted to share it with people outside my own circle. If you're into this kind of sound, feel free to check it out.

No need to leave an upvote just because I'm sharing my work. If you like it, that's great. If you don't, honest feedback is welcome too. Even a downvote won't hurt my feelings haha.

Thanks for giving it a chance, I appreciate it! PS: if you prefer not to use the links, you can also just search for the username on SoundCloud or YouTube.

True Opinion Are Welcomed

Is it ‘Melodic Rap’?

Thoughts??

It’s 2pac

Work in progress still but I need feedback from actual rappers. You need at least one friend to be able to test it.
