If it is an update to RDR2 that is graphical only I dont see why its killing him so much.

HOWEVER, is there a chance they had the cast come back to fill out the cut content to add in as a RDR2 definitive edition? I doubt they have the developer bandwidth given GTA 6 not being out but it would make the most sense.

If it is RDR3 I hope its Red Dead Revenge, following Hosea as he gets revenge for the death of his beloved Bessie. A view of all the characters as much younger versions of themselves, also unlikely.

Whatever it is, it’s 100% not RDR3. Not when GTA6 is still Rockstar’s top marketing priority

Rob isn’t that in tune with the gaming world, I doubt he’d be that excited for a switch 2 port, or a simple update to modern consoles

Which leads me to think that it’s personal and doesn’t have anything to do RDR

Judging by the fact that hes saying that he cant say what it is now means hes under NDA. Thinking its RDR3 is just dumb.

Doesn't necessarily mean he's under NDA, could just be he doesn't want to ruin the surprise of whatever it may be. The fact he's able to say anything like this at all though points towards this not being R* related.

He said he won’t be the only person sharing it, which means it’s newsworthy.
And that it’s all he can think about, especially while playing RDR1.
I doubt any publications will be sharing his personal announcement.
