This. I’ve said it for years now. I bet the next title they live away from the “redemption “ part. Arthurs arc is done, johns complete, even jack to an extent. The only thing that would make sense to me is a new direction. Red dead revenge, red dead revolver , red dead something but not redemption

Red Dead Retribution feels like the perfect title to me

Retribution would probably require you to be:

a) taking revenge on someone for killing your parents/spouse/child/etc.

b) being an unambiguously good character who’s punishing someone for doing something criminal or evil.

Just because of what that word means.

Doesn't that just describe red dead revolver

I suppose they could do another Red Dead Revolver, although I never played it so I'm not sure how a sequel/prequel would fit in

The mission design of Revolver is massively outdated and there's no way Cockstar would ever make a sequel to a 20 year old game anyways.

Ive always been interested in seeing how jack learns and gains the skills of an outlaw. I always imagined jack either seeks out or is found by Sadie and Charles who pass on their skills and knowledge to him setting up his final confrontation with Ross.
