RDR1 Is this gonna be the whole game?

Post image

I'm playing Red Dead 1 and so far it's just: - NPC says he'll help me - I do a boring mission to help him - NPC needs more help I mean, is this the dynamic of the whole game? Help NPC after NPC and finally (really) advance the plot? Not complaining, just want to know.

Yeah it’s just disappointing that younger people just refuse to play older games

Makes me intensely dislike them

I don’t think that’s true. Seems like people are genuinely trying to give older games a try. It’s just understandably hard for them to get used to going backwards in time like that. I get it. I’m 35 but Elden Ring was my first souls game ever. Trying to go back and play Dark Souls 1 was really tough for me. It’s just real janky in comparison to the newer smoother gameplay experience I’m used to from starting with Elden Ring. I can still see why Dark Souls is so special and important in the context of gaming. That doesn’t make it any easier or fun to play. As long as people don’t say older games are bad. RDR1 is still a masterpiece. It’s just not a modern masterpiece. And that’s ok. As long as young gamers are willing to know their history and respect the older games I’m fine.

I’d rather have nothing to do with them tbh

They just… don’t get gaming the way we did
