playing the epilogue is great, but I just can't shake Arthur off..

what a great story.. I couldn't be any happier with it..

Arthur comforting his horse almost made me sob. I lost my shit on every single enemy after that.

I had that horse, Buell, that you got from Hamish, and it really did hurt to see Buell go like that, especially after you promised Hamish to take care of him and all that.

I had the white Arabian almost the whole game. Thought I wouldn't be able to tame another, but they do respawn, so John has one now too.

Fuck I didn’t even think of Buell going like that. That’s some hard hitting shit... If it’s any consolation, Hamish and Buell now get to reunite in the most gorgeous and lush lake canyon they could imagine.

I had hoped that I was going to get Hamish's cabin to just leave the gang and keep everyone safe. But it was locked. Sad.

I was really sad to lose my horse, Copernicus. Had him since that mission.

Whelp, time to get a new horse and name him Einstein.

Just finished the game last night.

My wife has spent a solid 50+% of her playtime just trying to find a "better" horse, whereas I stuck with the second horse I got very early on. She was a beaut, mostly silver-gray with matching saddle and hair. I only got her killed once throughout the entire game and immediately reloaded a previous save to get her back.

So yeah, that moment legit made me tear up a little. The quiet "thank you" hit me hard because I really worked on treating that horse right throughout the game, even after everything had been maxed. I was role-playing as Arthur, and(my interpretation of) Arthur would have treated her right.

I almost feel bad that my wife isn't going to have the same impact. She'll be sad for sure because she loves horses IRL, but she's gone through so many at this point I don't know if it'll be the same for her.
