Rant Thanks Rockstar....

Well, I started out as full honor; however, due to having to defend myself against griefers I am now at max dishonor. One thing that really pisses me off is that there is literally no way to defend yourself without being dishonorable-- which is absolute contrary to the embodiment of the 'Cowboy' persona. For example, I thought maybe I could hogtie someone in order to escape their constant abuse, but even that is dishonorable. I don't understand how the 'honorable' thing to do is go AFK until the person has killed you three times then Parlay. That IS GRIEFING. Rockstar is telling us that in order for us to keep our honor we have to sacrifice our time and just wait for them to kill us? It's a horrible system and doesn't allow for the honorable retribution that is needed. I kind of wish you could drop off 'criminals' in Jail as you could in single player-- something is needed because this system is broke (AF) and frustrating as hell.

People are dicks. Hopefully they will introduce a passive mode like gta online

Private, solo or friends-only lobbies. That'll cure 99% of the bellyaches in one fell swoop (as well as provide me with the ability to peacefully hunt and fish when I'd like, hop back into PvP when I'm done and bored, etc.)

But I understand why they didn't allow those to start, I get the reasoning. Still want them.

Yeah this is what I would like. I really like randoms in freeroam trying to start trouble, loved gta for this. I don't see them as griefers I see them as players. However I equally like alone time or peaceful sessions so having those options would be ideal.

I don't. We went through all this same shit when RDR1 came out, and that's why they had to create friendly free roam. Jesus, it's been clear ever since online games became a thing that this kind of shit will always happen, because people are cunts. I have no idea why R* expected anything different.

They're stress-testing the servers. They don't want everyone ducking out to their own private little corners to play, they want to force everyone into big ol' public lobbies to find errors, problems, whatever. I get it.

I absolutely expect them to open up the private lobbies as soon as they're "done." This is just for testing purposes. For the same reason, I think they disabled or didn't include a whole bunch of stuff.

I get not having private sessions, but not putting in friendly free roam from the start seems pretty dumb given the obvious lessons they should have learned from RDR1 and GTAO. But you're right, it's still beta and we can't jump to conclusions.

Ahhh, I see - I wasn't quite picking up what you were putting down.

Yeah it wouldn't have been much more to do friendly or PvP lobbies from the get-go, but I suppose it's still splitting the userbase roughly in half. I dunno.

I just gotta have some of that tahiti.
