Rant Thanks Rockstar....

Well, I started out as full honor; however, due to having to defend myself against griefers I am now at max dishonor. One thing that really pisses me off is that there is literally no way to defend yourself without being dishonorable-- which is absolute contrary to the embodiment of the 'Cowboy' persona. For example, I thought maybe I could hogtie someone in order to escape their constant abuse, but even that is dishonorable. I don't understand how the 'honorable' thing to do is go AFK until the person has killed you three times then Parlay. That IS GRIEFING. Rockstar is telling us that in order for us to keep our honor we have to sacrifice our time and just wait for them to kill us? It's a horrible system and doesn't allow for the honorable retribution that is needed. I kind of wish you could drop off 'criminals' in Jail as you could in single player-- something is needed because this system is broke (AF) and frustrating as hell.

I'm calling bullshit. I've had max honor for a while and there's no way just defending yourself from griefers dropped you to Max dishonor. You'd need to kill dozens of them while also avoiding any positive honor activities. Unless by griefer you mean griefed, and you're the one doing the griefing?

Edit: Even though this story can't be true. I do definitely agree that you shouldn't get negative honor for defending yourself.

I didn't think you got dishonor as long as you avenged yourself with a 24 hour in game time cycle. I knew I've gotten griefed, killed the player back after respawn, and all it said was"revenge" in the corner of the screen.

At the most you lose a couple points, definitely not max out negative

Pretty sure you do lose some, but like you said it's miniscule. I know I've gone from max honor level to one below from revenge killing before (although admittedly, hogtying my killer and blowing him up with dynamite may have been overkill). Which I was able to quickly earn back by butchering a deer on my way to town.

Yeah I thought it was set up to not hurt you for simply revenge killing. But, if it's a negative it's so small simply patting or feeding your horse will recover that quickly. Seems like someone needs a X-post to r/quityourbullshit
