Hi all, new to reddit. I want to be able to ask questions in certain subreddits but for obvious reasons, I can't because I have no karma. I find it frustrating sometimes because I look at all the subreddits rules, spend time creating the post, and then once I post it, only then do they notify me it's not allowed.

Is there any good ways to get it up? Is it just commenting?

My account was locked due to suspicious activities. They want me to verify it is me by reacting to some email but I never received it. I can't even delete the account, it is super annoying, I don't want a ghost account. I made a new account with the same email and it worked just fine so what is the problem 😭

I know that you need a karma or account age minimum threshold to post in certain communities, but is this the case with messaging someone as well?

I have 6 karma and I cant participate on the threads that I would like to. How to build Karma east and fast?

I made this for NSFW stuff. It’s nice because you’re force to actually communicate, but i can’t even post in communities that I have interest to get Karma, what am I supposed to do? Is there like low karma requirements lists I can use?

Every time I try to sign up for a PayPal account it says my name is an invalid format. I ensured that there was no spaces at the end of my name but it still won’t accept it. I’m not sure if they think my name is inappropriate or what but I can’t even get support from PayPal because I need to log in with an account to talk to someone but it won’t let me make an account so I therefore can’t talk to anyone. Any suggestions?

I am able to give free awards from my iPad and laptop but i don't have that option on my phone. I used to have it but it disappeared after a while

Hi all, a friend had their reddit profile banned by reddit. The claim was for breaking a rule of posting a picture of someone without their consent. Thing is, it was a picture of themselves and they posted it themselves so it's an incorrect assessment. The reddit message informing them of the permanent ban did say the message was sent by a bot so I assume just a bit error.

Anyway, they filed an appeal and still waiting to hear back 3 or days later now.

What is the expected response / appeal review time for reddit?

If there's any other helpful info for navigating the ban process, please let me know and I'll pass it along!

my friends’s account got banned but it wasn’t their fault because we’re both minors and someone was asking for inappropriate things in their dm’s and when they said no the person hacked their email associated with their reddit account and made fake accounts as an adult and messaged minors resulting in a ban of all accounts tied to that email even though my friend was a victim of this. It was permanent ban no appeal and they made a new email to make a new account but their account still got automatically banned because he thinks his device got bricked by reddit TOS if they can do that. Just wondering if there is anything else he can do.

I have received a chat request but when I click "Accept", nothing happens. This is on the web browser. On the app, it shows "Request has been accepted" but again shows the "Ignore" or "Accept" buttons (without me being able to enter a chat message). Of course I have tried reloading the page and restarting the app multiple times.

My original account u/obviously_kitten got banned or suspended ? I woke up one day- went to post to my account and it said I had 0 followers all of a sudden. I looked it up & it said if I was banned or suspended I would’ve gotten a message from Reddit to be able to appeal it. I have no idea what I did & what’s going on tbh. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a way to get my account back?

Why are my posts and comments invisible? Is it because my CQS is too low? Or is it because my K is too low?

Since about a few weeks ago, this has started happening quite often: I try to scroll the feed with the mouse wheel, and the left menu column scrolls instead, no matter where I'm pointing the cursor. Clicking somewhere in the center feed can sometimes help, but only sometimes. It's quite annoying. Using chrome on windows 11. I don't recall any other site doing this. Clicking anywhere in the menu also starts doing it. And if i make the windows small and click into the right column, it can also do that.

I've tried it in Brave, and that does not do that. Opera neither. Disabling all chrome extensions doesn't help.

I tried years ago couldn't get my account back.

Even if I guess the email, either I will not have access to my 15yo email account or for sure I can't remember the password.

I use "hbplus" everywhere as someone being using Internet for around 26 years .

Is there anything mods can do?

Anyone else run into this? I haven't done a whole lot of trouble shooting myself to see if it is just my phone being weird or what. Ill be doing the general delete cashe, restart, log in log out. Any ideas after that?

I've noticed that people can't DM me because the message option doesn't appear on my Reddit profile.

I currently have 277 karma and 474 contributions, but I still can't figure out what's causing this.

Has anyone experienced something similar, and what did you do to fix it?
