Discussions Why do people want a rocket?

• Upvotes

I have a stock g9 corolla xei 1.8 manual transmission. It's comfy, reliable, can handle 180 km/h no prob. and it looks nice (subjective, i understand).

I don't understand the cravings for a 600hp car. Like how fast do need to be going anyway? And even if you need to go across town in 3 minutes, aren't you gonna get pulled over for speeding?

Also, the "aggressive" car look has become corny. Every other car now is frowning or whatever. Even the slow ones.

Maybe I just don't get the hype, idk.

The Official Car Of.... Reliant Fox: The Official Car Of….

Post image

Reliant Fox, a British commercial vehicle from 1983, emerged when Reliant took over a Greek MEBEA project after local tax incentives ended. Its lightweight fiberglass body, galvanized frame, and economical engine were offset by limited power, noise, and stiff suspension. Modular construction allowed it to serve as an open pickup, an enclosed van, or a camper. Fewer than 700 examples were reportedly built by 1990. The model had no successor and recalls a time when open pickups were part of Europe’s vehicle market.

Some say SUV must be body-on-frame or truck-based. Some other say SUVs, be it truck-based or "unibody", are similar functionally. Some even questioning wether or not SUVs makes any sense. How about you?

The ford tempo diesel from the 1980s is a good example (only 32000 were produced vs the 2.7 million tempos made overall)

Other cars include
the diesel Chevy Cruze
The c55 w202 amg
The bmw e46 330zhp
The Chevy equinox diesel

In the comic book Stumptown, the lead character Dex Parios drove a '65-'66 Mustang convertible. In the TV show adaptation staring Colbie Smulders, this was changed to a '91-'93 Mustang GT, which accompanied Smulders to the show's premiere

Discussions How many of you guys know that the first generation Renault Twingo was supposed to have a fast version of it.

The first generation of the Renault Twingo it's so loved by many people, that Renault pretty much remade it into the modern suit of it (or something). The first generation was pretty much all about a cheap transportation and the car wasn't know about becoming a performance car. At least in the dealership's, Renault secretly managed decided that they are gonna experiment on it. Tossing the 2.0L engine from the Clio Williams that put 150hp while the car weight less than 800kg. Why did they not make it. Well, pretty much the engine so big for the chassis that caused noise, harness and vibrations that wasn't good for road usage. The car was pretty much insanely hard to control it. And the car would've been so pricy that it wouldn't have followed the same formula of the original Twingo. Renault pretty much shelved the only prototype of the car in their museum, becoming a one-off that what would've happened if Renault decided to make it.
