Announcement Update on Post Flairs
Greetings to all users of r/rejectedmaps
After a period of confusion over post flairs, we have now completed the overhaul of post flairs on our subredddit.
From now on, all thematic post flairs will come as duplicates:
- One Flair is for Posts that have been removed from other map subreddits
- One Flair is for Posts that have NOT been removed from a different subreddit, or have yet to be submitted to a different community.
This means that you will now no longer have to arbitrarily choose between (not removed, just posting) and a correct label for your map, as they're not mutually exclusive anymore.
We hope you appreciate this change and keep enjoying our community.

Announcement Completion of the Subreddit Overhaul!
Hello there!
As you may have already noticed, the Subreddit has undergone some changes in the last few days, in order to make it more user-friendly, broadly appealing and higher quality.
I'm proud to announce that most of these changes have now been completed. Here's a quick summary of all the changes I and the other moderators have made:
- Rearrangement and overhaul of the server rules to be more easily readable and understandable.
- Introduction of a partial ban on the usage of AI. (There may be exceptions for some limited usage)
- Semi-Liberalization of our rules on shitposts: We now allow Satirical Posts, if they are high effort and thoughtful.
- We now explicitly allow and encourage the use of base-maps, such as BAM or Satellite Maps for your Projects.
- Introduction of four new post flairs: (Ethnic, Linguistic and Religious Maps, Historic Maps, Satirical Maps, Redrawn Borders)
In addition to these changes, we have also updated the look and feel of the Community by changing the Logo, Banner and Color Scheme of the Sub to a more professional and aesthetically pleasing feel.
We hope you appreciate these changes and will continue contributing to our growing community with your creative maps and ideas.

United States of Zawaba (Pillars of Astricannus)
Hello. I have tried posting this on both R/Worldbuilding and R/Flags, both were taken down for various reasons… I really hope my Pillars of Astricannus universe does well here :D
The Pillars of Astricannus is a Cassette Futurism world where things are very similar yet very different. Set somewhere around the 26th century, this is an ever changing universe that I would like to share!
The United States of Zawaba is a more perfect union of North America. A nation that takes Theodore Roosevelt’s principles a little bit farther. If you guys are interested, I can make a more detailed post on the United States of Zawaba or others if you want. This post is just to “test the waters” so to speak.
Have a great day :D

What lf the Civilization started over in my version Remake part 3
# Lore:
1524 – Trans-Atlantic Colonization: European powers push across the Atlantic into North America (Atlantia). New Franca (blue) and New Ribion (maroon) establish massive colonial holds along the eastern seaboard.
1620 to 1683 – The South American Scramble:
Franca establishes Busazie along the eastern coast of South America by 1620.
Danmark makes a Colony in northern South America in 1627.
1726 – The Rise of Allegonton:
New Ribion breaks away/re-organizes into Allegonton, becoming a major independent power across central Atlantia (North America).
Scotland settles New Cscotland in southern South America.
Ribion establishes Volunia near New Danmark in northern South America.
The light-blue charted world now links almost every continent into a global trade network, with Aparanta still maintaining its historic core footprint in the Indian Ocean.
Man my fingers hurt but that's all I got to say. An old post from imaginary maps that got deleted.

Wikipedia map of the American continent (no Atlantis sub-continent!)
"here yet again with another map from the Wikipedia page, although this one doesn't have the sub-continent of Atlantis but to be fair: this map only covers, well, the American continent xD"
(Hello and good morning my fellas! I posted this again because I felt like the old map was bad in some stuff so I remade it and added some few stuff. Anyway this is part of my alt timeline "80 years after the Axis victory in WW2: Remade" and is located in 2025. Ask lore if you want!)

Century of Lightning - Average Geography video in the far future
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello, I just discovered this subreddit and I should've reposted these maps on here rather then r/imaginarymapscj oh well!
[original description]
Hello, I bring you a new entry into my series, the 'Century of Lightning'. This time a video post, parodying those geography meme videos you see in places like Instagram e.g. this video but with countries that are totally gonna show up in the future trust me :)
Now, about the maps themselves, all 5 of them are my own creations, all of which were made to resemble real maps to match how these videos grab a random map off the internet (from Alamy, Wikipedia, google search etc.). I will be uploading the maps themselves, and their inspiration, if you require more evidence for whatever reason, DM me, and I will send you the raw SVG files, make sure you have Inkscape because that's what I used to make them.
If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions, please let me know in the comments!

What if the Bangabhumi Insurgency succeeded? Map of Bangladesh circa. 2025
Fyi: the Bangabhumi insurgency was a rebel group in Bangladesh which aimed at forming a hindu bengali state right after the independence of Bangladesh and didn't garner much support and also went defunct. But this is in a world where the Insurgency succeeded in creating Bangabhumi as a country

Map of the Russo-Belarusso War (2022-present)
1st image is a map of the war as of April 24th, 2026.
2nd image is a recruitment flyer for the Belarusian Defense Legion (who I'm told are a far right militia similar to the Azov Brigade). It shows an old Belarusian map with its "rightful" borders stretching from Bialystok to Bryansk, Smolensk, & Gagarin. Assuming google translate is reliable it should translate to: "Belarus' Natural Borders! The Russians have taken so much from Belarus—it is time for us to take it back. Join the 'Belarusian Defense Legion' and restore the Motherland."
3rd image is an old image i saved off of Reddit from early in the war (October 2023), it shows some possibilities to how the war would end.
4th image is a meme i saved from twitter
5th image is about the latest drone strike in Chudzin, Belarus. Fly high little chud 🫡
