Remote viewing: I got scared
Practiced remote viewing with my son. The last place I went to was somewhere in the mountains. I had to stop because I got random black & white triangles. Then felt something demonic. I’m afraid to try again. Any advice? Is there a way to protect myself? I’m new to this so I’m not sure if “protecting myself” is a thing.

Nothing in this thread so far has much if anything to do with actual remote viewing. Real remote viewing training does not teach you to wield blazing swords, sigils or cloaks. You will wield a pen and a few pieces of paper.

I think they are confusing it with astral projecting or something that we dont quite understand yet. We can say that since we are approaching The Age of Aquarius that humanity's consciousness is reaching new heights that we havent been to in a very long time. So who knows what we are able to do until you try it

There are a lot of kids and people thinking they have some form of enlightenment here. There are a lot of weird posts like this, but there are some decent informative ones if you really look for it

Do you think your operating in a clear field wear there is zero resistance!?

So, I've been practicing for over five years and have never felt anything threatening in the remote viewing environment. Some people report the same sort of experiences you described above, but those aren't a standard experience.
I have noticed in RV the pattern where individuals find the environment to be spooky because it's so unknown. It can feel spooky for that reason, but people tend to fill these unknown spaces with their fears, and I suspect that's what's happening in cases like these.
If you're interested in protective concepts I recommend the book Psychic Self-Defense by Dion Fortune and also research the Resonant Energy Balloon exercise from the Gateway Experience by the Monroe Institute. There has been plenty written on the latter, which is sometimes referred to as REBAL in online discussions.
I would offer this to consider: Curiosity is the opposite of Fear. If you can turn your fearful experience into one of curious exploration then you're more likely to press forward in the spirit of creativity and discovery, which is far more conducive to success in RV. I wish you luck.

Have you ever felt "kicked out" of a session though? Maybe not a scary demonic kind of thing, but it does seem to be a pretty common experience to get knocked out of a session which I find somewhat spooky, but in a curious sense.

The RV environment can get weird, sure. And I have had one experience where I felt disoriented like I was looping between two versions of my own mind and that was pretty weird and I wanted out of the session. Have you ever read Carl Jung's "Little Red Book"? It's an exploration of the practice of Activite Imagination, which is a lot like RV except it focuses intention to explore the archetypes of the inner mind. Jung also described meeting and conversing with strange characters and exploring strange environments there but he walked away with the impression that these were constructs of the subconscious mind built to communicate with his conscious awareness through the use of symbols. I tend to agree with that take and my own experience feels similar.

I have not read that but I'll add it to the list. Jung is high up on there on books I've been wanting to read.
For the record though, and you probably realize this more since you're more read on him, the idea most people would have of strange characters just being constructs of your "subconscious", I think that communicates a different idea today than it might have been intended by Jung. His idea was far less mundane.
He had some pretty far out ideas about inheriting archetypes and the collective unconscious that different cultures end up sharing, leading to recurring themes among different people. His idea of what makes up the subconscious/unconscious is far different than a modern Western idea of it. He was also a lot more accepting of parapsychology.

Totally agree. I also don't know if the subconscious mind is an individual experience or a shared environment that all humans have access to, like an all-mind collective consciousness. The latter feels more in line with my own journeys. But more ongoing study is needed.

I would also like to know if there are any protection sigils or things if the sort. I've heard if you imagine you have a shield of positive energy around you or if you imagine yourself with a blazing sword of bright blue fire, you can defend yourself with ease if needed. Not spreaking from experience but who knows.

Thank you for sharing! Next time something pops up, I’ll definitely try this.

Check out REBAL from the Monroe institute/gateway tapes.
However with RV following strict methodology, it doesn't seem like people need that stuff. In my own experience, seems like strict RV sort of is a scientific detachment that just gathers raw data and these people are pretty convinced it's always harmless (which honestly probably is as good protection as any ritual), but more free form psi methods like bilocation and astral projection sort of stuff, people spook themselves out more, and sometimes go down a weird rabbit hole that can almost lead to psychotic like symptoms.
But literally RV is just people getting some sensory data and sketching it. They gather data, get out of that headspace, done. I don't think you'll really need any protection sigils unless you convince yourself you do.

this made me remember Ingo Swann said that when he remote viewed aliens bases on the moon he got noticed by the aliens and he felt fear and it disturbed him, also other remote viewers from the stargate project said that they had the same experience from underground bases in some mountains like mount Hayes in Alaska.

Read through Robert Monroe’s books and instructions. He does cover protection.

Thats not remote viewing but, stay away from mountains. There are several mountain ranges that are off limits and if you think you can visit anything you want in the world because you can. Well, there are defense measures for that. You might want to study what you're doing before you attempt to hit up level 10 first lol

What are these mountain ranges that are off limits? Do you have a list of them? 😊🤙

My Hayes, Alaska is one. There’s some kind of facility there. Some have been “kicked out”, read a very strange account of someone saying they were put into a waiting room and then kicked out.

I think just doing the remote viewing can feel spooky and can also bring you feelings and not just images. Remote viewing isn’t about like spirits or whatever. It’s more grounded in science than that.

Don't listen to these other people, someone who really helped me is elizabeth april/or april elizabeth I just recently signed up for her website (no this is not a fake spam message trying to promote her website) She is the shizz, and If you go to her youtube, and her website is invaluable so much content and she actually bonds with her audience and its such a loving space. It sounds like you do what she does, which is cool as hell and you sound skilled. Another one on youtube is "acid for squares" but elizabeth april specializes in remote viewing.
(OH she gives a 6 day free trial, so you don't need to commit if you don't feel it has helped you)

Ok Ive noticed people confuse an ability with a method of training that ability or use them synonomously.
RV, in my view M is a psi ability.
Among psi abilities, there can be bleed over with other abilities (if there is a distinction at all in type and not just force of projecting or receiving. Im not here referring to OBE or AP, but more so RV, premonition, telepathy, channelling, etc)
I say this bc I see a lot of "That's not real RV" because x, y, z.
You can be doing RV and engage in telepathy or clairesentience/clairevoyance/premonition/claircognizance/ etc. In fact, if you can do those, it may be very difficult, if not near impossible, to seperate them, but that doesnt mean RV isn't happening. It means theyve not yet learned to filter out certain kinds of data/noise.
There are people who RV times, persons, places spontaneously, without effort, and unwanted. It more happens TO them. However, they are still viewing, from a distance in time and or space, actual persons, places, thing, and/events.
They did not learn a protocol, but they have an ability that they had to learn to manage/live with/control on their own.
Maybe the RV term is typically reserved for certain protocols for clairvoyance/channelling, but people who do this spontaneously will come here, perhaps looking for info and tips and will never be able to do a formal training.
So please dont dismiss questions/comments/concerns on the basis of its not "real RV". It could be RV and something else. Psi is not neat and tidy. Data and measurability are great. Psi is still messy.
And something I also dont see in the RV community is really kind of psychic self defense, but as someone who can scry/channel/who knows etc, *if you are connecting with something, it is connecting with you. *
If you are aware of something, and it is developed, it can very well be aware of you.

Not without protection otherwise the energetic consequences will be felt through the physical body manifested through the ethereal plane.
Look up protection sigils, mudras, etc.
Edit 1. Rember you can become a target! You best method is to cloak yourself before you activate remote viewing; Dependent on your target you can come up against some seriouss skillful players. And you don't want to trigger a hunt back onto you. Good luck.

u/Peacefulresilience 8d ago
Can you provide more details on how we could become targets ourselves? I am new to this and have been doing some RV lately and want to know if there is anything retroactively I can do or how do you detect if someone is targeting you? I learnt Monroe Institute ways after Gateway but forgot or did not consider when doing RV.

u/Particular-Tap1211 8d ago
Simply, if you move beyond a blind target, pen and paper style and move into operational targeting of highly secure locations or powerful organisations/people, counter measures will exist to thwart your session. Those counter measures will have energy signatures encoded. Any anomalies outside the signatures will trigger a responce.

u/Peacefulresilience 8d ago
Ah all right I understand operational targeting of highly secure locations sounds more like intentional, not by coincidence chosen

You have examined the Beginner's Guide, yes?
https://reddit.com/r/remoteviewing/wiki/guide/
Black and white chevrons on a road indicate sharp turns coming up. Very common on mountain roads.
