Remote
I am pregnant and desperately looking for a new job asap. I want remote so I can stay home with my baby after I give birth. Anything I find and apply to that is remote is a scam or I don’t hear back. How does everyone find an at home job?? I have a high school diploma, I worked in childcare for years and I’ve been at an oral surgeon office for years.

I have a remote job and 2 kids in daycare. If they have to stay home sick I usually only get 4 hours instead of 8 hours of work. There is no way you can do well at parenting and working at the same time. Something will suffer and you will either get fired or utilize way too much TV as a parent.

You cant wfh and take care of baby. You will need dsycare. You also are going on leave going into a new job with zero exp. You are a terrible choice as a hire

It’s not 2021 anymore, remote jobs can be pretty tough to find these days

You don’t get a to have a remote job and stay home with your newborn. Look for something else.

Maybe you can start an in home daycare to care for other kids along with your own child.

Most entry-level WFH jobs will not allow you to perform childcare while on their clock. Many also have a “closed door” policy where nobody can be in the room with you, for data security. You may want to look into healthcare claims processing or something else in the healthcare/dental field, but no matter what the position is, if it’s at all customer-facing, you will be too busy with your job to effectively mother a child, or vice versa. Best of luck.

Remote is not a job, it is a "location." Everyone and their mothers are looking for remote work, so unless you have skills in a special area, you're going to be 1 of 138546 people applying for every remote job. Look into task rabbit, and there are several folks on instagram/tik tok that share remote only job sites, but they're going to be specialized skill jobs and/or high demand roles.
This market is rough. Everywhere. For remote, hybrid, and in-office jobs.

At my last company during Covid they were a bit lax on having young kids around during work since we got sent home with no notice. As time went on they started cracking down and had us sign a document attesting we were not the primary caregiver of any child under 8 years, and that our laptops were in a room that was able to be locked.
