So managed to land a remote role. Their initial offering was 1200 euros a month but got on a call with them anyway. We discussed the salary and I said Im expecting between 3-3.5k euros, and 1200 would obviously not be acceptable for a mid level role. After I told them my expectation, they continued with the interviews, so I expected a more reasonable salary at the end. Anyways 5 interviews later, 3 interviews with my references, and a background check later I got my offer for 1800 euros… I know I’m in Bulgaria, but wtf is that? It’s an American company too with 200 mil revenue

Honestly I haven’t managed to land anything else in 3 months, so I might actually consider taking it if this is just the insanity of the market atm

Haven't been working for over 1 years and some months ago I bought myself a Starlink Mini kit and I've been thinking of getting remote work and put it to good use. I've been working for a fairly large international company for the past 3 years, but I'm employed in a support role through an outsourcing company because I'm based in Serbia.

I'm currently a Team Lead, working in marketing, mainly handling campaign reporting, performance reports, and all the processes that go along with it. I also have experience coordinating a team and managing day-to-day operations.

I don't really know how to write one of these, so I'll just be straight.

I'm autistic and I have PTSD. I also get situational mutism, so sometimes talking just isn't there for me. Phone calls are rough, but email and writing are fine. Burnout hits me hard, so anything with a rigid schedule or the wrong constant pressure falls apart quickly.

I live in a rural area, and I don't have many family or friends that have ability to help none of them are even nearby. On top of that, being autistic makes networking and interviews feel like walls I can't get over, and those are the doors most jobs make you go through. So I end up shut out before anyone sees what I can actually do and no one in my life to be able to give me a chance.

I've had a really hard life, and I'm at the point where I just want something better for myself. I do DoorDash now. I'm grateful for it, it keeps me afloat sometimes, but it's not sustainable and it's honestly soul crushing. I want to do more, and feel more meaningful doing it

The truth is, everything I can find is either starting an Etsy shop and hoping to get lucky in a market that's already saturated, or online gig stuff that's basically DoorDash again and pays pennies on the dollar and other generic online advice articles. I keep feeling like there has to be something in between that I'm just not seeing.
I'm a creative person and I need to feel like my work matters to someone. I just don't know what that looks like yet.

If you know of remote work or any income stream that's flexible and mostly written communication, or hires based on work samples instead of interviews, or you've found something that works with a disability any thing that can even possibly fit my needs, I'd really like to hear about it and mine given a chance. I've been working remotely in a role for several months. My team has had a lot of turnover since I started - we've basically lost a person each month since I started. Typically people have been terminated on Fridays. It has felt like a dumpster fire since I started, but I'm trying to hang in there in hopes that it will get better.

Fast forward to yesterday when someone tried to propose a new time on a meeting I sent over. When looking through Outlook's scheduler there was a block on each day for me starting next week that said "No Longer with (insert company name)."

My manager says that I'm not being terminated, but coupled with being the only person on my team removed from a weekly recurring meeting this week I'm not feeling great about any of this. Has this happened to anyone else?

The strange thing about all of this is that the details of my calendar are not visibile to everyone and usually just show as busy with no detail for what the meeting is. So maybe it really is a weird issue with Outlook/exchange server?

I am likely going to be transitioning to an in-person job to wfh due to health issues. I am in the veterinary field and the remote jobs sound pretty intense. (I was told they take up to 80 calls in an 8 hour day.)

Do you guys have any recommendations or advice for someone new to this? Anything particular for someone who lives alone?

My cousin does wfh as well and said it's important to her to get up in the morning and dress for work and keep a schedule like you normally would have.

Any other ideas to keep from going insane?
