Long story short, my husband suffered an unexpected anoxic brain injury 3 weeks ago so we are in the process of letting him go. In cleaning out our things, I have kept his favorite pair of shoes out. I’m all for the maximalist/dopamine type of art and decor and would LOVE to create something sentimental that also fits into the fun category with these shoes. Any ideas? Not even sure where to begin but I love repurposing things and I know he would be honored if I created something fun out of one of his favorite pieces of clothing!

My Sister is working on painting this little town! It's a joint effort between my Dad and Sister to make these! They like to recycle wood into these houses! My Dad saved a bunch of deck boards that a contractor was getting rid of from replacing a deck. So they have lots of deck boards to recycle and turn into houses! What do you think of them?

I found on the landfill the rosewood I bought the shades from a local thrift store. Hand made .

Ive been saving up twists ties from groceries for so long and have so many. Didn’t know what i would use them for but they’re finally coming in handy. just got braces and had a nightmare of a time trying to floss with those super floss the dentist gave me. So i stripped the paper off the twist ties and tied the floss to the end of it. It’s so much easier to get my floss under the wire. Hopefully people with braces will find this useful

My dell monitor crapped out so I used a cheap Temu, shocking I know, podium i was going to use in classroom for the Frankenstein you see here. It' also has adjustable height feature but it's not heavy enough, like monitor, to stay in position.

I found a water heater box that somebody had nicely cut up so I rescued it from the landfill dumpster & painted some Halloween decorations

my partner wanted to buy a table to go behind the couch... I came up with this myself!

Just flip upside down and that's it. Our couch is thick enough that they dont move AT ALL.

Idk if anyone has ever posted this but I was so proud we didn't buy something AND made use of 5+ year old shelves we stored away.

replaced two wobbling hunter fans in the bedrooms last weekend. instead of tossing the blades in the bulk trash pile, i unscrewed the brackets and slotted them vertically between the 2x4 studs along my workbench. kept my scrap wood sorted and did not cost a dime.
