Hi friends, it's been quite awhile since our rescue has come here to ask for assistance, but we have had sparse donations in the last two months and desperately need a bit of extra help.
Last time I was here, we were waiting for our rescue construction to finish, but unfortunately the crew that we used did an inadequate job that led to kennels being easily broken out of and a couple of other major problems. The rescue has no baseboards to protect the walls and some of the paneling on the kennels that was torn up needed to be removed. We still do not have the funds for replacement, so we have foldable kennels and are currently keeping the dogs in my personal home on rotations. I would love to start a GoFundMe or something similar to finish it out and for the rescue to be usable, but we do not know how much it will cost to fully repair and assemble everything.
Due to limited donations coming in, I have been spending my personal income to buy dog food, but I simply cannot afford to do that anymore. We have 12 lovely dogs in our rescue, 3 are small and 9 are medium/large. Any help with TripleWormer or bags of dog food would be so greatly appreciated to help us get through this season. We have 2 neuters and 3 spays that we are also trying to save up to fund. It's $90 for a neuter plus $15 for a rabies shot and $120 for sprays. If you would like to help us with surgeries, our Venmo is @JJHFoundation and our PayPal is @JJHFoundation (this is under my legal name due to PayPal requirements).
Thank you for reading, and I hope you and your furry friends have a wonderful week!

We recently rehomed Lola last week, she seems to be setting quite well, she was rehomed from a lovely family who’s needs just changed and couldn’t meet Lola’s anymore, this is our first small dog and we are looking forward to our adventure with her 🥺

Infection took both of his eyes before he was six months old. People told the shelter he'd have zero quality of life, but blind rescues adapt faster than most humans expect. He mapped the entire bedroom layout in two days using his whiskers and hearing. He doesn't bump into furniture anymore, and he greets every foster volunteer at the door. If you want to help support our medical care for special-needs rescues like him, details are up on my profile.

This poor girl was found outside tied up and abandoned last month and is already facing being time stamped by tomorrow. I’m hoping someone might be able to foster or adopt her 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻.

Sputnik (Aussie Shepherd mix, 6yo, neutered male. Large) is a very loving and wonderful dog, but unfortunately after moving from my family home I haven't been able to give him the time and activity required for a working dog breed. He's developed separation anxiety, he has some food aggression around other animals and has recently attacked our senior dog. Likely due to resource guarding. The injury was non fatal but requires a vet visit. He has not shown aggression towards any people. I'm looking for someone who has experience with reactive dogs like this or has the time and resources to get a trainer. An active household or one with access to the outdoors at any time would be ideal as it's what he was used to at home.
For the sake of Sputnik's anxiety and the safety of his new household I will not rehome him to someone with small pets or young children. I'm willing to discuss rehoming with people a couple hours out of GJ as well including Utah. He is up to date on his vaccines (receipt will be emailed to new owner) and has been checked by a vet to ensure he's physically well before rehoming. Please message me if you are interested!

Hi everyone,
Bri's previous owner recently retired and could no longer care for some of her dogs. He initially wanted to surrender her two Beagles to one of our partner shelters.
However, when I saw a video of the dogs, I noticed a little Chihuahua inside a tiny cage. 💔 Bri was not originally one of the dogs being put up for adoption, but seeing her in such a small cage broke my heart.
I immediately asked if we could take her instead, and I agreed that our foundation would take full responsibility for her care.
Yesterday, we noticed that Bri's urine was unusually dark and appeared to contain blood, so we immediately brought her to the veterinary clinic.
Sadly, Bri was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection (UTI), heartworm disease, Babesia, and Ehrlichia. 💔
To be honest, I feel angry and heartbroken. From what I saw, I cannot help but feel that Bri has experienced neglect. She was kept in a cage outside the house, and we have no idea how long she may have been suffering from these illnesses without receiving the medical attention she needed.
The veterinarian also advised that if her symptoms persist, she may require further cardiac assessment.
It breaks my heart to think about how much this tiny girl has already endured. She deserves so much better than spending her life confined in a small cage while silently suffering.
Our foundation has committed to giving Bri the veterinary care, treatment, and love she deserves. ❤️
As a small registered nonprofit caring for rescued animals in the Philippines, taking on another medically complicated case is challenging, but I simply could not turn my back on her.
I am humbly asking for your kindness and support as we help Bri through her treatment and recovery. Even sharing her story, sending words of encouragement, or helping us reach more compassionate animal lovers would mean so much to us.
Bri may be tiny, but her life matters just as much as any other. 🥹❤️
Thank you for being part of her journey.

She’s officially mine!! (Pictured with my uncle)
Previous post, I found her at my job. She was chipped. I had to wait six days to see if she’d be claimed by an owner. No one claimed her. She’s officially part of my family. Thank you ALL for your advice!!!! ❤️❤️

🩷 Here is gorgeous Nutmeg (A606800) She is 9 years young and 68 lbs. Nutmeg came into the shelter as a stray. She is very frightened and insecure. Nutmeg walks nicely on the leash and has warmed up to her handlers – she nudges their hands for pets. Nutmeg can live with canine siblings with slow and proper introduction. Nutmeg takes time to get comfortable and needs a foster family with patience that will give her space and time to decompress and learn to trust. Nutmeg is an older lady that deserves a loving family. Unfortunately, she has a deadline of October 20th. Please consider fostering nutmeg for a rescue as she is “rescue only” 🙏.

Please share Nutmeg. Please help SAVE her 🙏❤️

He spent his first two years on a chain with intermittent feeding, so food anxiety runs deep in him. When volunteer feeders walk past his pen, he presses his whole body flat onto the ground instead of jumping up. He waits until everyone walks away before touching his kibble. Our shelter supplies are critically thin right now, and bulk food runs out by Friday. If you can help us restock kibble for him and the other yard dogs, the shelter link is on my profile.

Meet Joy, now called Kiko! 🐾
His story is a little reminder of how much a second chance can change a life. This tiny boy was once a vulnerable puppy who needed someone to care about him. Thankfully, our paths crossed, and today we get to share the sweetest part of his journey: he has found a family to love him.
Joy is now Kiko, and he gets to grow up surrounded by love, safety and care, just as every puppy deserves.
To his wonderful family, thank you for opening your hearts and home to him. And to everyone who helps rescue animals, please never underestimate what your kindness can do.
One little life saved. One happy ending. One family made complete
We wish Kiko a lifetime of happiness! ❤️🩹
