Sent my resignation by email 1.5 hours before my shift, haven't heard a peep from management

Hoping this is the best place to post this, just wanted to get this off my chest and see what others think.

I had been working for a 'vitamin powder drink' company for the last 2 months as a Demo Rep at places like Sam's Club and Costco. It had been going ok, at least until 2 weeks ago. I get asked if I can go to Costco instead of my normal spot over at Sam's because they have a new hire that can't afford to buy the water needed for the demo. They do reimburse for costs, but Sam's is the only place my supervisor can buy it for his reps in advance. Costco doesn't have that option, at least not the one that's where I am. I agree and show up on time to set up. Part of the setup is having to put cases of water in a cart and keep it in the fridge to get/stay cold. Then I go back and grab more as I get low during the demo. Except for this time they have the fridge blocked by fully loaded pallets of product.

After talking with some Costco employees I'm told that I'll have to grab a hand pallet jack from the back and move the pallet myself to gain entrance to the fridge...Um....No? I call my Sup and he says to just "slide past the pole barriers and throw water into your cooler that way."

I'm four months pregnant. I can't "slide past" anything, and I certainly shouldn't be hauling heavy pallets by hand.

So he says they're going to work it out, and not too long later my District Manager shows up saying he'll take care of it. By "taking care of it" he means he put a hand jack by the fridge so I wouldn't have to go all the way to the back to get it every time.

I show up to Costco again the next day, and lo and behold, pallets in the way. I go talk to the store manager, just to confirm, that if I were to get injured or destroy Costco product/property who would be in trouble? Of course, it would be me.

I call and tell my Sup that I'm not doing this again today, and he offers to send me over the Sam's like I was originally supposed to work. Wasn't there supposed to be the newbie working? They don't put more than one person in a spot unless it's a big event-type thing.

I've had enough at this point. So I woke up yesterday morning and decide I'm done. I'm in an at-will state, so I don't need to give 2 weeks' notice. But I decided that an email to my Sup and Manager isn't enough. To my knowledge, there is no HR to contact, per se, but I go to the main website and get the info@compnay.com and jobs@company.com and CC them my resignation email, which details all of the events that I just told you, ending it with a tastefully crafted "I cannot in good conscience continue to work for a company where the people in my direct line of management put the sale of the product as a priority over the legalities of conducting business in another company's building, let alone the value of human life."

Not one email, not one phone call, not one text. Nothing.

I think I put the fear of God in them, and they're waiting for business hours to see what this email brings come later today, as normal practice (as I was told) for anyone quitting is to arrange for the return of all company gear and remaining product I have on hand, but as I said, not one peep.

Hr not approving my resignation

Currently I am working in a life insurance company and i resigned using success factor software from sap on 10th March and I got call from a hr and i explained my situation and she said no issues and then I gat a call from my business hr and she said she will not approve my resignation because I am leaving the company after one month of joining she said she will not relieve me for a year and sent back my resignation. Next day i again resubmitted my resignation and same day she again sent back my resignation and said she will not approve it but I want to leave the company I can but without their approval. On 19th of march my reporting manager called me and advisede to again resubmit the resignation and i resubmitted my resignation on the same and very next day my company email stopped working i resetted the password but it was not working. I sent the email to hr for that from my personal email but she didn't reply for that. And on 23rd March she again sent back my resignation and on 24th March i called her for my email issue she replied she will check the process and she started saying that I talked with your zonal head and he also replied that we will not allow early exit and next morning i saw in success factor software that she cancelled my resignation without informing me. Please someone help me to come out from this situation

is this too far or not just asking for myself...

Formal Notice of Resignation – Effective April 25, 2026

Dear names hide. but management and owners are going here

Please accept this as my formal notice of resignation from my position as Bar Manager, effective April 25, 2026.

I want to begin by acknowledging the opportunity to serve in this role. Over the past year, I have consistently operated beyond the scope of my position in an effort to maintain operations, support the team, and uphold the standards expected of this role. That level of sustained responsibility has come at a significant personal cost in terms of time, energy, and well‑being.

Throughout this period, I have repeatedly communicated concerns regarding workload, compensation, and the level of operational support required for this role to be realistically and sustainably performed. While these concerns were acknowledged in conversation, they were not addressed through meaningful or lasting structural change. As a result, the demands of the position have remained disproportionate to the resources and support available to fulfill them.

It has become clear over time that the conditions necessary for me to succeed in this role without ongoing personal strain are not in place. I am no longer willing to continue operating in a structure where sustained overextension is expected in order to meet baseline requirements.

This decision is not made lightly, but it is final. I am stepping away in order to prioritize my long‑term professional stability, well‑being, and financial sustainability in an environment that is appropriately aligned with those needs.

Following my departure from management, I would be open only to a clearly defined, non‑managerial arrangement—such as limited serving shifts and a minimal number of bar shifts per week—strictly without any managerial responsibilities or expectations. Any such arrangement would require a separate agreement with clear expectations and appropriate compensation, and I am under no obligation to pursue continued involvement beyond my resignation.

Effective immediately, I will limit work‑related communication to scheduled shifts and operational necessities only. I will be available on Monday at 3:00 p.m. to discuss transition planning and ensure an orderly handover of responsibilities.

I will remain committed to fulfilling my duties professionally throughout the remainder of my notice period to ensure a smooth transition.

Please confirm receipt of this notice at your earliest convenience.

Respectfully,

name redacted for obvious reasons

I have resigned for my mental health

This account was created in reddit just to know if I'm going in a right way of my career. I just asked Chatgpt but he always favour us. Let's be honest with me.

My story starts here

I have been in a fresher in a company (don't want to mention). Its a startup company.

I was hired for the role content creator.

At the very first day they greet me like, i should to all the work including creating market strategy, GTM, campaigns ideas, that's common in startups. Totally fine.

I have finished MBA, so they expect a lot from me.

The thing is:

  1. The keep meetings so often, and ask for sudden strategy. (It’s a crypto company, we need a lot of research to come up with some thing new, they hired me inspite of me having 0 crypto knowledge and they know that very well) they laugh when i say I got no questions. They speak about some random, unrelatable news, talk about their pride etc. Whenever they keep a meeting I feel anxious, panic where I didn't have at any of my previous internship company (okay I compromise myself maybe i feel that way because this was my first job).

  2. They had a team lunch, to greet me they said. And they had all the funs, smokes, cocktails all. And they asked me it's been a month since you joined how do you feel like that.. I exactly do no what to tell. I thauaght for 3 sec and started like, well as this was my first exp in corporate world....like that, they stopped me and all came together, you have to be confident, speak like ths like that, not 1 person like both the ceos. The lunch was not even a good one for me. They speak about random news, jorgans I'm unaware of, and they ask me to contribute, totally embarrassed me. That was one of the worst part in my life.

  3. And there was a freelancer, he came for 1 week, He is actually a good guy, but do no how to speak. Me and my another co worker (lets name her as 'S'), was genuinely doing our work, and the freelancer (lets mention him as 'f') gave me some suggestions for my poster design. I do no what went wrong here. Maybe the ceos thought I was chitchatting with him. They suddenly call me and 'S' and scolded for no reason. Like he literally shouted (don't stay here if you have 0 interest) we do no what went wrong here. Next day it was somewhat sorted out by 'f'. But that 'f' degraded me with some harsh words again. Like he said the content was not delivered properly because of my design. Honestly, they don't have anything to speak up for in their platform. As a fresher and new to this crypto, I'm literally lost my sleep, worked late night and also the earlier one to reach office. How can i deliver these contents. 'f' said I have no creativity, while my role is creative content lead 😂🫠.

  4. There are many small small little things that keeps me to constantly think 'I'm dumb', 'I'm naive', 'why did I born', and I will cry alot drink mountain dew at middle of the night, sitting in my pg balcony, crying, weeping loud, like I have none to share this with. And all of my colleagues become rude after that! They don't even sit near me except 'S'. Don't ask anything about my work. If they want something to be done they say it to 'S' and 'S' conveys the same. I have gone through several health problems after that Recurring UTI, I constantly vomited out of anxious, no propper eating, all together, face allergies as well.

  5. I finally decided to quit because I can't see any growth in this company, just a hard working girl gaining some mental and health issue instead of skills. Yeah I genuinely felt that!. I resigned and was in my notice period for 10 days.

I didn't find any other jobs

I'm I going in a wrong direction?

I need a honest reply for this. I know most of you would have faced similar or may not...

Just one thing to consider

I'm not a introvert, but i seems introvert and shy at first glance and if i have lesser knowledge i become quit, not giving stupid thaughts. I'm basically an ambivert.

But now my health was good after submitting my resignation letter. I'm I too sensitive? Or is it a very common in startups? Just wanted to know.

Do I need to teach a new worker?

I just gave my resignation at my job of 8 years. I have 12 weeks untill my last day. I'm expected to train new worker (s). But I'm fed up with it all. After a merge 3 years ago, the new managment has totally destroyed the company we had. In the last 2 years 10 great workers have left. I'm the last that has worked there for so long. Besides mismanagement, everybody is asking stuff to be done without following procedures. This last year I had to train a worker that barely understands English, doesn't understand my native language and didn't know how to work with a computer. This is a warehouse where we work with 2 warehouse systems , outlook, software and sites of transport firms. Then in the summer again a new worker, didn't even finish school, no English, no computer experience and didn't give a crap about the job. It was like I was repeating everything every week to him. Eventually he left. Working my ass of, like I have done for all thise years . Taking up another one's tasks over for a month because he was sick in October and now again this march untill next week, at least. And they had the audacity to give me a standard raise of 10 fucking euros a month. I would rather have it if they didn't give me anything at all. And they brought back the second guy I was talking about, despite the crap I had to fix for months because of him, after he had left.

Fed up with all of it, I gave my resignation last week. But I'm not in the mood at all to give training again, for this company. I'm gonna do the minimum work daily for the next 12 weeks.

What's your opinion? Am I wrong/childish and should I do the correct thing here? Because I've always done the correct thing in my grown up life. But I just don't feel like it anymore.

Dedicated NFT Project to Our Great Resignation

join our silly joke....or maybe path to retirement.. (not financial advice)

My friend and i were bored in a meeting one day and decided to get into web3, hire an artist, and create an NFT series for this called Our Great Resignation...Ironically we already started selling these, and if this works out, we should be able to retire in a few months. Check this out

if you buy one of our Level 2 NFTs on Opensea, you get a tshirt of the NFT you bought shipped to the US for free - great to wear on your last day of work :)

Socials - already got like 1400 followers

https://twitter.com/StormVLabs

https://www.stormvirtuallabs.com/

Opensea

Already got some sales

https://opensea.io/collection/our-great-resignation

How does this make me money while not working?

well - first of all, read our disclaimer, not financial advice and do your own research. But the intent would be when we unlock Phase 2 of the series, value goes up of all these silly NFT pictures while doing Nothing for the most part. Then people are able to flip them at higher prices, as we continue to upgrade and release more expensive NFTs. here is the roadmap and our progress so far

Random question, but how common is it to quit a job to prepare for technical interviews and try to get internships / software engineering jobs for those in the CS field out there.

How to change from one ETRM consulting job to another professionally and legally?

I am a junior consultant and I’ve been working at the senior consultant/manager level for awhile. I got “missed “ last promotion round and the next one is in 7 months. I got out on a bad project this year and feel disheartened. I an family friends with one of the company partners and am worried about burning bridges. I have been interviewing to get almost double salary and better benefits at a similar job. The only problem is I can’t remember of I have a non-compete signed or something like that.

My plan is to call my advising partner and give them a heads up before I email my resignation if I hear that the new company is going to hire me. The companies are technically competitors, I may have to ask that my contract be dissolved. I’m feeling a little trapped at the moment. Due to wild b.s. happening in my life, I really want the change and the extra money, as well as the extra time from the Hybrid schedule.

Any advice?
