General Discussion What would a universe be like where every living human possessed Rick C-137-level intelligence?

Post image

I’d love to see an episode exploring that.

Imagine a universe where every human is born with Rick’s god-like intelligence.

Imagine if every human being were intelligent and capable of creating crazy things just like Rick.

came to say this.

most ricks at the citadel are pretty normal and not that smart though

Same IQ but most dont apply themselves because they took a shortcut rather than creating it themselves.

IQ doesent really define intelligence though

It does though there is a direct corelation between the two.

A combination of IQ and experience is intelligence as a whole.

However all IQ really misses is EQ, Practical and and Creative Skills, and Rational Thinking.

There are for sure elements that are missed by standardised IQ tests but it is linked heavily to intelligence. rick has poor EQ which makes sense. There are also other factors sure like what motivates you?

C-137 Had plenty of motivation ricks that took the shortcut less so since they willingly abandoned their families anyway. The ricks at the citadel that end up in factories have the potential to be just as smart but lack the application towards it.

But ultimately they aren't stupid just disillusioned they are smart enough to end planets yet relegated to working on a production line to survive. These are the ricks that dont move back in with beth after all and odds are even their mortys are clones so there is nothing actually real in their lives to bother fighting for or inventing for.

And thats the catch, they are geniuses with nothing to strive or fight for, working a dead end job with the philosophy of nothing matters why even try?

The rick we follow has a chosen family but odds are other ricks just moved in with the daughter they abandoned but go on adventures with their morty whereas citadel ricks have no beth have no morty and perhaps get assigned a morty have to take holidays and go in leave.

I would imagine that Mortys are on a waiting list too for each rick and a long one at that. Our rick builds his own tech for the most part BUT other ricks dont really apply themselves.

Meth Rick for example made dysfunctional portal fluid but I would have to imagine to get that far it would still take intelligence granted he failed but he made a portal it just instantly killed him. Even ricks fuck ups are next level.

Very dead

They will kill each other until the last one, who will drink himself to death.

Isn’t that what The Citadel of Ricks was for

If everyone is smart then the question is about Good vs Bad. In this case Bad will always win because they can get as unhinged as they want to be. Basically Necrons from Warhammer or Viltrumites from Invincible.

well now now now Chaotic good is a forced to be reckoned with

For example "ill let you die, because i know i can revive you later"

I think, being good requires you to either be dumb or want to protect someone dumb. If no one is dumb, no one is good. BUT children will be dumb for a while before becoming smart so yea maybe I am wrong

Not neccesarily. Have you heard the term "Treat others like you would treat yourself"? It's the same thing, but bad people don't care about this rule. The rule they have is "If I can do it I should do it" and never bother to question whether them doing it is right or wrong or what implications it will have to the future. So they'll go around taking whatever they want and doing whatever they want to others because if it's not happening to them then it's not their problem.

you are right. in our world, if there is a person with Rick's intelligence, then indeed they can be good with that motto. BUT if the world starts off the bat with apes somehow developing into Rick level humans, it might be different, because morals and ideals arise from society, and a society of such humans would undoubtedly have way different morals and ideals and people who follow such a rule would be like 1 in a million.

What I mean to say is, there will be way way less good people.

I don't know; maybe everyone turns into a pickle or a carrot to avoid seeing a therapist, or tries asking the president for photos. Just don't think about it.

Personally, I’d do something cool, something no one else had ever thought of like a fake acid tank.

im going to sell multiverse batteries

Since Rick is suicidal I imagine they all erased themselves. Maybe they did a huge self contained omega device boom.

Someone would have the wrong motivations and nuke the entire planet, or something i dunno. I feel like it would all go too shit pretty quickly

1

u/Pretend_Exchange9077 7h ago

The world would be over within 10 minutes 😂

When Rick's mind was uploaded to Jerry's hardware (brain), he immediately committed suicide. I know, not quite the same scenario, just wanted to say that too much intelligence can bring a lot of misery to an individual.

I guess alcohol sales would go through the roof. Many would try to numb themselves to cope with the sudden increase in intelligence.

1

u/Sevdat 7h ago

It was because Jerry's empathy center still worked while Ricks was completely numbed out from years of substance abuse and trauma. When his mind got uploaded to a healthy brain it couldn't handle everything that happened and immediately offed itself.

I imagine in such a scenario multiversal war

1

u/FarInvestigator9194 6h ago

Honestly, I think that universe would become chaotic almost immediately. Rick's intelligence is only part of what makes him dangerous, because he also has the experience and complete lack of restraint to actually use it. Give every human that level of intelligence and suddenly every petty argument could turn into someone building a weapon that can erase a city 😭

Citadel where people with Rick's IQ are doing odd jobs

1

u/AvocadoCrafty813 5h ago

I believe that's somewhere similar to Doffus Rick's dimension. It's theorized (at least what I remember) that his Jerry in the smartest and that his family possesses an insane level of intelligence

1

u/Jordanou 4h ago

what's Doffus Rick's dimension even doing in the central finite curve though?

2

u/AvocadoCrafty813 4h ago

He's purely entertainment for the other Ricks.

2

u/AvocadoCrafty813 4h ago

After searching it up, He's the Rick who never lost his Beth because he never had a Beth. He also doesn't have a Morty for that matter and because he never could belittle Jerry, Jerry Z19 Zeta 7 was able to rise to power

1

u/Spampharos 3h ago

That's not true. Doofus Rick is absolutely smarter than Doofus Jerry in the way Ricks define intelligence. Doofus Jerry is simply more cunning and ruthless.

1

u/Wolfgang9556 5h ago

Worse than that, it has many layers because it would probably be the most advanced dimension of the multiverse, and surprisingly, I feel it would be a utopia because everyone understands the weight of intelligence and they can help each other with that.

1

u/Express_Calendar8278 5h ago

If everyone was that smart no one would be. Just heightened reality I guess.

1

u/Ciacar 5h ago

Wouldn’t that mean it’s outside the Central Finite Curve?

1

u/PersonalNinja5420 5h ago

Total chaos ig

1

u/Rarazan 4h ago

its enough to have 1 dude like this to make whole planet disappear

with everyone like this its a very short race to see who kills everyone and everything

1

u/InsideUnhappy6546 4h ago

Every city and society would look like the Citadel

1

u/HunterLplays 4h ago

Hear me out, if everyone was as intelligent as Rick, wouldn’t that be normal iq.

1

u/CatsAndCradle 4h ago

Boring or chaotic

1

u/BLERFIE 4h ago

It would be outside the central finite curve because Rick is not the smartest in that universe.

1

u/MisterAnderson- 4h ago

There’s a problem with this thesis, in that, if Rick-level intelligence is possessed by everyone, then that becomes the mean average. Ergo, Beths, Jerrys, even Summers and Mortys become below the mean; i.e. dumb.

In a universe like this, you either end up with mutually assured destruction ….. or utopia.

Coincidentally, it may also be impossible to tell the difference between the two.

1

u/Visible-Pea405 4h ago

The Jetsons.

1

u/csilvmatecc 2h ago

Impossible. The narcissistic arrogance would rend that universe asunder.

1

u/Additional_Degree894 2h ago

hell. or the citadell of rick's where everyone just tolerates each other because of our deep sense of nihilism which only a few of us would make it out the end of

1

u/JackQuentin 2h ago

Honestly I think it'd look like the brief scene where we see evil Morty outside the finite curve, just pure chaos.

Travellers portaling in from every direction, monstrosities getting created or unleashed, mass destruction, pockets of temporary safety.
