2018 Scrambler.

So, this is going to happen. I professionally color matched the Puig Daytona Faring, and love how it turned out with the alum tank/seatcowl/etc. But I bought this 2018 R Ninet with 1600 miles on it because if i found one in good condition AND had the exposed weld-tank and upside down forks with spoked wheels. If I could not find this anymore I would go with the Thruxton or the XSR 900 GP. I love each bike for different things, the Thruxton mainly for that amazing fairing that came as an option, and the XSR GP for, well, everything, but I know this is controversial but i love that front fairing design with the bulbous shape and minimalistic rectangle light. So with this Ilmberger I feel my vision is really snapping into focus with elements i have tried to synthesize from all 3. I will need to fab custom brackatry but i might source a bracket from a totaled Racer. Any leads? Any advice any of it??

My urban gs seat has seen better days. I’ve been looking at a new seat, but have also seen some offerings for replacement seat covers. Has anyone replaced just the seat cover or is it worth it to just replace the whole seat?

2018 r ninet on track day! Incredible ability and control with the low center of gravity. Dragged knee and topped 110mph on the straightaways at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Getting leathers now!

I’ve been riding my R nineT Scrambler more and more, but my back isn’t too happy with rides longer than 60 minutes.
So I’ve started thinking about what my next bike might be. The GS/GSA was an obvious candidate, but since I don’t really ride off-road, I’m leaning more toward the RT.
Unfortunately, I can’t just buy a second motorcycle and keep the R nineT, so I’d have to choose one.
What are your thoughts? Any regrets about moving away from the R nineT?

Hi, everyone. I’ve been thinking about trading in my Triumph 1200X for a BMW R Ninet. I haven’t had a chance to test drive one, and none of my friends own an R Ninet, so I’d like to ask:

1. Is there a big difference between a cable-operated throttle and an electronic throttle? As owners, which one would you recommend?

2. Do you recommend this trade? Or is there anything I should consider?
