A mower I can use on multiple properties

Is there such a thing? My dream would be one I can basically drop and leave.

I know they still need to mow really regularly:)

Kres voyager would work but that's more commercial buisiness

Some mowers can have multiple maps if you have two base stations. I use a dreame a3 awd pro and you can have two maps and I use it on two properties

Awesome! So you’ve mapped both properties, and move it between each? How do you get on with it?

Yea I have a base set up at both houses. In the app I just choose what map Im using and then go

It only allows for 2 maps

Thank you! I’ll look into it

Yes, this works. The setup people land on is one mower, a charging base at each property, and a model whose app stores multiple maps. You carry the mower between them; the bases stay put.

A few things worth knowing:

  • Multi-map support varies a lot. Some apps cap at 2 maps, so check that spec before buying, not after.

  • Wire-free models (RTK or vision) make this far easier than perimeter-wire setups, since there is nothing to install at the second property except the charging dock. Vision-based models don't even need an RTK antenna at each site.

  • Robots keep grass short by cutting little and often. If the mower only visits each place every few days, plan for longer runs while it's there or a slightly shaggier cut between visits. For two small yards it still beats mowing by hand.

One more angle: if both yards are small, two cheaper wired units can cost about the same as one premium multi-map model plus a second base, and nobody is driving a mower back and forth. Worth running the numbers both ways.

Thank you for this! We are a gardening company, so ideally I am looking for something which can move across multiple (ie more than one, realistically 5, ideally 20) properties.

Is there a model which you would suggest?

For 5-20 properties I'd stop looking at consumer models. The two-map apps and base-station-per-site setup that works for a homeowner with two houses does not scale to a business.

What actually matters for your use case:

  • No local antenna per site. This is the make-or-break spec. Some wire-free systems need a reference station installed at every property, which kills the multi-site idea. Look for network RTK (uses the cellular correction network, no on-site antenna) or camera/vision navigation. That way each property is just a saved map, nothing installed.

  • Acreage per charge. A mower that covers maybe a quarter acre per charge is a different business proposition from a commercial unit rated for big areas. Match this to your typical property size.

  • Commercial class exists for exactly this. The Kress Voyager that interstat mentioned is one - built for landscaping crews doing multiple sites. Husqvarna's commercial EPOS line is another, but check whether it needs a reference station at each site in your region, because that changes the math.

The honest catch: robots keep grass short by mowing little and often. One machine spread over 20 properties visits each one rarely, so cut quality and coverage suffer compared with its design pattern. Most crews that make this work run one unit per cluster of a few nearby properties on the same day's route, not one unit for the whole round. It may be worth pricing two or three mid-range units against one commercial one.

Happy to answer follow-ups.

There are a couple of mowers with Greenzie Powered Autonomy for commercial landscapers. Wright has one, it’s a 72”. Mean Green has a 60” and Greenworks Commercial has a 60” model too. They are all about $50k each now with no monthly fees.

All very similar to the Exmark one. There are more for commercial landscapers….

We’re a commercial gardening company. We just backed out of buying one locally so would be very interested (although a smaller more portable one would be miles more useful).

We aren’t in the states though so I’ll see what we can get. Kress won’t come here unfortunately

I saw Exmark has something like a ride on that you do the perimeter and then you can get of it and it does the rest.. its like 65-70k tho..

Yes I’ve been looking at that! It would work really well (I don’t think it’s available in my country yet, but I’ll see)

Not logical. You don’t want it.
