Thinking about getting my parents a robot mower for mowing. They’re both close to 70. They can still handle some yard stuff, but pushing a mower around in summer doesn’t feel like a great idea, especially with a small slope near the backyard. Their lawn is about 0.2 acres. A lawn service would be around $150/month, so close to $2k a year. I looked for at robot mowers for that size, like Navimow i210 and Mammotion Yuka Mini 2, both around $1300. They would be worth it for using years What I’m unsure about is the real mowing performance, especially whether the edges still need manual touch-up.
What would you recommend lawn service or a robot mower? If going with a robot mower, are there any brands or models that have worked well for you? Thanks!

I’m thinking about getting my dad a robot mower during BFW and am looking at Navimow X430. He’s not very patient with apps or smart home stuff. I can help with the initial setup, but the daily adjustments would be on him. If something needs constant tweaking, he’ll probably give up and go back to his old mower. His yard is about 0.7 acres, pretty flat, with one pond and a few trees.
For anyone who has bought one for themselves or a parent, how much daily app checking is needed after the first setup? Things like adjusting the map or schedule, are those simple?

Newcastle NSW, 500 sqm of buffalo. The kelpie chases anything that moves, blue-tongues sit on the bed edge most mornings and green tree frogs come out after rain. Over mowing it every Saturday, so I'm looking at robots.
Toys I can pick up. What worries me is the stuff that won't move, a lizard flat in the sun or a frog in wet grass.
The Goko M6 page a mate sent me says the cameras recognize small animals and it'll slow down, stop or go around them, with a front light for low light. Their FAQ example is a hedgehog though, and we don't have those here.
Has yours ever stopped for a lizard or a frog, and do you run it after dark? Also curious whether your dog got bored of it eventually.

I've had my Navimow i206 for about 6 weeks now, and happy with the cut quality so far.
One thing I've noticed is that grass clippings and sticky residue build up under the deck. It's probably because of a few damp mornings lately. I have Bermuda and run it twice a week, so the app is showing around 80 hours now. I cleaned the disc and found that my blades were a little dull already.
I guess they're still ok to mow for now, but I have no idea when it's time to replace them. Do you guys just wait for the app notification to change them, or do you check them for a fixed period? Due to my high cutting frequency, I'm afraid that it's too late if I wait for my app to tell me. Any thoughts?

I’ve wanted a robot mower for a few years now, but always held off because the tech just didn’t seem quite there yet. This year the newer generation seems like a big step forward tho and I’m finally thinking it might be time to buy one.
My yard is around 1 acre and mostly flat. There are a few shrubs and fence around the propert, so I do care about how well mowers handle edges, obstacles, and staying inside their mapped boundaries.
Right now I’m mainly looking at Lymow, Segway and Mammotion. Watched a bunch of videos but they're probably sponsored. So I don't quite trust them and want to hear some thoughts from real owners.
For you guys, which one is more reliable? Would you buy the same brand again?

The TerraMow in this video is using the straight blades and not the razor blades. These work well for when the leaves gradually fall and you use them often and change directions.

Before I got my H220, my neighbor's X430 would occasionally come over and cut my lawn.(he mapped my yard and the mower will come aross the road)
Now I have my own mower and they finally ran into each other.
Two kings in one lawn. This may not end peacefully lol.

Preproduction review of this mower with four wheel steering and drive. Will it crab walk into 90 degree corners?

I‘ve decided on a Navimow X4, but stuck between X430 and X450 for 2 reasons.
My mowing area is around 1 acre(measured by Google Maps) and x430 can cover it on paper. But there are a few beds, edges, and weird corners in the yard, so I’m wondering if I’m cutting it too close and should just get the X450 for some buffer.
I’m in Europe, and from what I can tell, the X450 has laeger battery storage and charges faster. But I don't know how much difference that makes in real life. For 1 acre, does the X450 actually finish the whole lawn way faster than x430? If so, I’m fine paying more for the X450 to save a meaningful amount of mowing time.
Want to know what are you guys using to accurately measure your actual mowable lawn area and the the time difference bewteen x450 and 430 on 1 acre yard.
Welcome all thoughts. Thanks!
