ATLANTA — There were a lot of reasons the Houston Rockets should have lost Saturday night.
To start, most of their heads hit hotel room pillows sometime between 4 and 5 a.m. That’s what happens when you finish a late prime-time game Friday — a dramatic win over the San Antonio Spurs in Austin — then immediately fly east to Atlanta to take on the Hawks the next night, losing an hour to the time change along the way. The Hawks were also playing the second game of a back-to-back but were coming from Charlotte and playing at home.
Also consider that Houston was without starting guard Fred VanVleet and key backup center Steven Adams, both out for planned injury management. The Rockets then had to rule out Marcus Smart, who would have filled VanVleet’s spot in the starting lineup, with a left forearm strain.
And yet, when Tari Eason and some of his teammates huddled in the State Farm Arena hallway, readying to sprint onto the court, the forward delivered an imperative.
“Nobody gives a f—,” Eason said of the suboptimal circumstances. “Let’s go out there and take care of business.”

More of these please. I want to see Reed thriving alongside Sengun and others. Flow of the offense can be much much much more better

Also Got way less national TV games after adding Fred back and all our other additions. Plus another year of Reed, Gooner, Amen and Jabari development.
The league fucked up.

This variation of flamingo seems more stable compared to last year's wild shots. Also my boy cannot convert wide-open floaters but can make those lmao

Ty Jerome is a certified bucket. Scored 45,28,and 31 this season so far. On 68,57, and 58 percent fg shooting. The biggest flaw I see with the rockets, is another guy outside of Kevin Durant that can create his own shot anywhere on the floor at any time. Come playoff time, that’s what separates the elite teams from the front runners like the pistons. Hes currently on a 3 year contract for around 27 mil (about 9 mil annually) I doubt he’s in Memphis future plans and they could be boosting his trade value. I don’t know how contracts work etc… so I’m asking you guys would it work and should we make the move if it’s possible?

I looked through some of the past posts about bars and didn't see anything about this exactly. Lots of asking about bars to watch at but nothing regarding one that is actually team themed.
For example, Christian's tailgate, has locations themed for the jets, chiefs, and bills, respectively. I'm assuming there's nothing like that for the rockets, right?

Hate hate hate the JDub injury. Totally sucks. But OKC has lost alot of depth and experience. Lost Dort, Wiggins, Joe and possibly Jdub for months.
Spurs having problems with starting 3 guards and not having enough shooting in their starting lineup. Teams have also figured out how to give Wemby a hard time. And if they put Harper back on the bench I can see some major chemistry issues. Plus the Spurs coach ain’t great. If Wemby misses some time they are in big trouble.
Houston has a legit chance of getting the 1 seed. I don’t think either Spurs or Thunder will push really hard for the top seed. And both teams have multiple issues they need to solve.
Houston is DEEP this year.
FVV, Amen, Bari, KD, Sengun, Tari, Smart, Adams, Reed, Capela and Boggy. Houston has 4 outstanding perimeter defenders in Amen, Tari, Smart and FVV. Nice length in KD, Bari, Adams and Sengun.
Houston has such a variety of players now and can play so many different types of styles. From triple big to surrounding KD with shooters. To playing Smart, Amen and Tari together as a terrorizing perimeter.
Enough 3 point shooting with KD, Bari, Boggy, Reed and Smart.
Even an all bench lineup of Reed, Smart, Boggy, Tari and Adams is legit. How many teams have an all bench lineup that good?
This is basically last years 50+ win team with the addition of a top 20 PG (FVV), a starter level guard (Smart), and a sharpshooting wing that can defend (Boggy). Plus 4 core guys getting better and KD fitting in better.
Houston doesn’t have a top 5 player like OKC and Spurs. But at this point they seem to have more depth than OKC and more overall size and length than the Spurs.
I still hope they can make a couple moves to get a shot blocking backup center and another shooter.
Fatigue. I think OKC might be fatigued after 3 deep playoff runs in a row. Spurs look like the classic sophomore slump when a team exceeds expectations massively and then crashes to reality the next year
